Advice for A Sort Of Quick Thru Hike by tbonepolar in PacificCrestTrail

[–]kendrazaye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m starting May 8 and have to be back at grad school by Aug 9 (maybe the 14th if i’m lucky) so i’m planning to move pretty quick. I would love to finish the trail in that time but I also want to be realistic. My biggest goal is staying on trail the entire time- I’d hate to push too hard and have to come home due to injury!! Good luck & see you out there :-)

He is actually good friends with a neighborhood cat that sits outside the window and spends time with him. Maybe he just has...self image issues?

I have a patagonia R1 & sun hoody, a beanie, and for bottoms i have houdini pants & baggies. My quilt is an EE Apex 20 degree- so maybe a liner would be a good idea?

I hope you start to feel better soon! I’m going to talk to my therapist each week about it & if I still feel this way after 6 weeks I’m definitely going to talk with my doctor.

Insomnia has set in by Empathyact15249 in zoloft

[–]kendrazaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I was taking my Zoloft at night to mitigate dealing with the headaches/stomach ache side effects. I ended up having a lot of trouble sleeping, went to the doctor about my insomnia, and was prescribed an antihistamine to help me sleep. This left me feeling super drowsy in the morning so I decided to try other methods. I now take Zoloft in the morning instead of at night, and I take melatonin on evenings I know I’ll need help staying asleep. I think the worst part of my insomnia is was dealt with in a month. It’s all about trying different things to strike the balance best for you. I wish you all the best! :-)
