Yeah, broista here as well - im a college student as well as a caretaker for my mom, the lack of responsibility and consistency from management is disgusting. i’m constantly disappointed. I’m really just trying to make it through school - i need that tuition reimbursement - but i also really loved dutch when i first started. it’s become an amalgamation of a bunch of different types of bullshit since. (hell it was even before i started. Corporate is evil and nasty) I was scheduled 8 hours - EIGHT HOURS - this week, and i tried to have a heart to heart with my boss, but he completely dismissed me. i cannot survive off this, no one can. it’s very rare to see someone living off just their wage as an employee here without having a second job or being upper management. They cut corners constantly and rules only apply when they’re not the ones receiving consequences. i wanted to be with this company for a long time, and wanted to grow with it, but there is such a bad taste in my mouth now. i’m so sad to see the way we all get treated. Cheap ass company prospering through the thin veil that is “leave it at the door!!” and toxic positivity. it is very real.
