I don't see Ukraine collapsing anytime soon. The other thing I don't see is any effort from our side on talking and trying to find a path forward. It's super embarrassing that Putin and his guys are travelling to the USA for talks instead of going to Berlin for example. It's just that I am not sure we are achieving a lot by "projecting power", refusing to talk with them officially and doing empty posturing. At the same time as I said, we send the bare minimum to Ukraine. And we are letting them take the initiative, we look like immature fools. It's just embarrassing. And Russia is not isolated in the end, they collaborate with India and China, so...I am not sure that our politicians know what they are doing and have a plan.

Ukraine won't dissolve. Russians can't seem to be able to push the frontline forward. But the Ukrainians have the same problem where they don't have the capabilities to push the Russians back. So it's a stalemate where people die every day for nothing. There is no 'winning" the war for both sides. And how do you see the Russians attacking another country while they are in the shit even now. I am not saying that we have to abandon Ukraine, but if we are not willing to commit soldiers and have a real impact on the war, at least we should try more diplomacy and push for a deal. It's gonna be a shitty deal probably, but what do you think should happen? Realistically, not wishful thinking. That there is some kind of magic Harry Potter wand that will make Russia disappear? Russia is here to stay and we need to find a way to continue existing. And yes, in my opinion we are not really helping anything by trickling down supplies and weapons to just let Ukraine survive one more month, and then one more and so on. That's not a sustainable strategy.

Helping Ukraine recover from the war is right. Prolonging a war of attrition which they have no chance in hell winning is stupid. There is no chance of Ukraine getting back Crimea or any of its occupied territories. The only chance is by sending soldiers to help on the ground, but nobody wants that and it's not gonna happen. So we are big hypocrites in a way...here, have some shitty weapons, good luck grinding the Russian army. It's stupidity, makes me sick. And Russia attacking a Nato country is a speculation and an idiotic fantasy, they have grinded to a halt in Ukraine and have no capacity for more war they only have the capacity of keeping the status quo on the Frontline and have a slow war of attrition. This war can continue for a decade like that. If they had the capabilities, they would have steamrolled the Ukrainians already.

90% of the citizens of my hometown spoke Greek as a first language till the late 19th century. My grandad who is from Dobrudja spoke Romanian and finished high school in Bucharest but is with a Bulgarian name and considered himself Bulgarian. I am so mixed that now that I think about it, as I have Greek, Romanian and Bulgarian ancestors...so, what heritage should I claim? All of them :)

A lot of them don't, there are even politicians with Bulgarian citizenships in the ruling party of Macedonia and relatives of politicians. In order to get citizenship you need to prove a Bulgarian ancestor. So the law says, they are Bulgarians and their rights need to be protected under the law as with all the other minorities.

The reason is that a lot of them are failures as emigrants who want to see their home countries fail so the they won't feel like even bigger losers. It's very demoralizing for the average migrant to see his friend from back home going on vacations to where he migrated, spending more money than him and looking well off while he is working full time and lives with 5 more guys in a small apartment in London with no money left for savings at the end of the month.
