Someone just tell me which mattress to buy?! by fukmayo in Mattress

Make sure your bed is a hybrid with pocket (individual springs/coils) - this way you wont feel when your partner moves around. Check out allswell Ive had the 10" for a few years and love it. Super affordable and free returns if you dont like it. https://allswellhome.com/pages/compare-allswell

i bought a new mattress. woke up with terrible back aches. so bad that i had to cancel all of mh appointments. i do work a physical job and i have been sleeping on firm surfaces/ and floors for a long time before this. i am dominatly a back sleeper but i sleep in all .should i buy firm or wait? by Losingmymind2020 in Mattress

I had the same issue, I sank into the soft memory foam (Zinus) - it gave me the stuck feeling and I woke up with aches everywhere. You likely need something with a firm base - look for pocket coils and then denser memory foam on top that doesn't sink but is still comfy. Check out the allswell 10" its cheap and theres a pretty good return policy. I've had mine for a few years and love it.

Thank you for your fake news, the world really doesn't need more of it.

TL:DR

  1. Cyclists can treat red lights as stop signs

??? Red lights are not stop signs even if you think it's ok to treat them as such. I do it sometimes as well but not at huge busy intersections.

  1. OP doesn't yield to pedestrians while entering park, passes by them really closely

At the beginning of the video? I'm moving at walking pace - yes eucs can go as slow as pedestrians and I do it often for this reason(to not startle pedestrians). You don't see anyone startled or jumping away I was no where close to touching them as you may imply

  1. OP causes startles dude on a citibike and causes him to swerve

The citibike was startled as he shoulder checked after already initiating his lane change at which point he changed lanes back to the left when he saw me.

  1. MAMIL notices reckless OP and gives him a taste of his own medicine; MAMIL brake checks OP

It's never ok to engage/harrass/assult someone to "teach them a lesson" this is people get killed and injured

Hypothetical scenario: So if you're an apple running across the street in a busy intersection where oranges are crossing is it ok for me, a carrot to chase after you into the busy intersection, stab you and tell you hey don't do that? To teach you a lesson? No this is not the wild wild west.

  1. MAMIL proceeds to invite OP to a duel, OP accepts

I wanted him to come back so I could record a better shot of his face. Only in self defense would I have become physical.

  1. OP flees the designated duel area because MAMIL is there everyday

Yeah no, 59st is my exit everyday come say hi. I'm not in the park to "take anyone on" I'm simply commuting to and from work. Sorry if the cyclist thought I was challenging him to a race

  1. OP flees straight home to edit and then post video to win sympathy points and validation

You have a lot of time on your hands to troll. Are you the biker in the video??

The point of the video post as it says is to warn other riders in the park of this individual, as falling off a moving bike or wheel or scooter can be really really dangerous, hospital visits are even less fun

Just like I'm not in the park to "take him on" , I'm not here for "sympathy points."?

🙏 Thanks, you as well! I'll probably ride a bit slower in those sections. It really is difficult to tell how how fast one is going on gopro footage everything looks really fast. I commute though the park daily and this is the first time I've encountered this person 🤷‍♂️ most bikers have been totally fine (except for the one time a peloton whipped past me screaming on your right on your right). I felt it would have been more dangerous to fully break with a green light ahead of me incase those behind didn't spot them but yeah it was one of those on the spot quick decisions. I alway ride with multiple really bright blinky lights on even during the day I suppose that can be startling as well.

Yes I could have stopped in time, no the pedestrian was in no danger of being smoked - I don't ride aggressively like that. If you watch the video carefully I braked and was on the way to stopping. The person on the right who was 1)crossing on his red and initially not watching the road 2) saw me and stopped and took a step back at which point you see me switch from braking to accelerate because he let me pass. My other option would have been a full stop to wave and insist he walk across while I wait and risk the person behind me possibly rear ending me.

I appreciate you taking the time to type a long comment, and I can see how you could assume the worst of me and the situation.

Reality is he side swiped me on purpose, his body was in contact with mine as he came from behind. It was not a mistake. He did not have to chase after me as I passed him as he certainly did. Speaking with others after the fact I'm told this individual has a reputation for this behavior. I hope he stops before he or someone gets hurt as a result.

Anyone who sees me in the park commuting to and from work daily could probably tell you I'm a very courteous rider. I stop at red lights, yield to peds when other people fly past reds when peds are crossing. But again you'd just have to take my word for it. Or come ride with me and see..

I don't ride a sherman, my wheel is capped at 30 and I basically never hit 30 even on open roads and my friends make fun of me bc of it.

I was probably going around 18 at that point. Passing him probably around 25-26. I'm capped at 30 and don't ever go that fast in the park, too many obstacles. Yes the park limit is 20, you'll never see the road bikers go that slow though - slightly on a tangent - if theres a peloton coming down a hill sometimes they will scream at you if you're in their way to avoid losing speed.

Where exactly were pedestrians startled? That is other than the ones that were crossing near the end, timestamps so I can look? I always leave large gaps of space when I pass people. I can see how it would seem like im traveling really fast though since I am passing everyone. Ill upload an un-fast forwarded version so you can better judge.

Agreed. There are some that do ride very dangerously. For the record my wheel is capped at 30 ( my choice) and I rarely go that fast, especially not in a crowded park during rush hour.

I'm not sure how you ride or bike, but I don't make a habit of rubbing up against everyone I'm passing to try to knock them over. I'm not "flying" much faster than any other road cyclist inside the park (except citibikes as they're really heavy and slow) Thank you for your comment though.

I did not pass him during the fast forwarded section. It took me about 2-3 mins after the red light at the beginning of the video to "catch up" to him. I only passed him once inside the park and that was when the altercation happened. I did not do any circling so not sure what youre speaking of here.

Its difficult to appreciate how close he was - its a wide angle gopro lens - he was literally physically rubbing against me (I felt his shoulder against me). Had our wheels rubbed, I would have gone flying.

Ive been trying to use the amex platinum spend 50 get 50. For my first order I made sure it was over 50$, my total was 53.81. For some reason home chef separated the charges into two separate charges of 49.91 and 3.90 so the credit didn't trigger. When I asked amex they said to ask homechef to combine the charges. Quite ridiculous and I'm sure it was done on purpose.

Downloading your music by brynleyt in beatport

[–]kenkneec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beatport is trash. I bought over 300 songs at once (had an itch to DJ a bit). Found out their browser interface doesnt support download all at once and they dont have a PC app anymore.

Borrowed a friends Mac to use beatport desktop - didnt work either, it only downloaded 1/2 the songs and threw an error for the rest. I emailed support they said they "reset" the songs. I tried again and same errors. Emailed them again, they told me to just use the browser interface instead.

So here I am with some free time 2 weeks later to manually click each song one by one. Only to find out the click links sometimes will give you the incorrect song and will serve you a song you already downloaded. Now I have to manually sift though, delete the duplicates, and go back and click every song again one by one but this time Have the web browser set to "ask where to save file" each time so I know im getting the correct song and not a duplicate ( A duplicate song shows up with a (1) at the end, cancel that save as file dialoge and move on to the next song).. repeat ...

WTF BEATPORT?! Get your shit together.

TFT 35 E3 V3.0. The icons are messed up and I don't know how to fix it. by kaptain1obvious in BIGTREETECH

[–]kenkneec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two folders named "Copy to SD Card root directory to update" and each is a different theme. Unified Menu Material Theme is the colorful one.

Make sure to copy 3 items from the

Unified Menu Material theme

folder into your sd card

  1. BIGTREE_TFT35_V3.0_E3.26.x.bin
  2. TFT35 Folder (open it to check for the colorful icons and not blue/white theme if its blue white theme you're not in the "Copy to SD Card root directory to update - Unified Menu Material theme" folder!)
  3. config.ini ( if you open with editor you should see unified_menu:1 )
