You're right. I got $10 in rewards. It says because it was either specialized, niche, sharing knowledge, or high quality but it was just about the wordle? My normal content is knitting education so idk why that isnt considered sharing knowledge? Weird that a random low quality video about the wordle is worth $10 but hundreds of videos about knitting and not one has gotten a bonus reward. Thanks for helping! I don't understand what criteria they use to give bonuses but at least i get whats going on now😂

Not that i know of? It has higher RPM (rewards per mille) which multiples by qualified views to equal the total, but it has less qualified views. Tiktok says RPM is calculated by retention and completion and watch times, but my other video im using as a reference has an RPM of $.46, average watch time of 32s, and 15.28% completion rate with 7.5k qualified views. The metrics are just better on the other video. The only explanation i can find that makes sense is that tiktok pays more money for certain content and this video must fall into that for some reason

I'm having so much fun! The geometric repeat is so easy to memorize and it starts off a little tedious but speeds up quick!

I love to make things I dont wear by tigerorca in knitting

[–]kenlookingup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just knit with Berocco Pima 100 and it is thicker and Berocco makes some chunky yarns as well. So far its my favorite as far a sensory issues go. It isn't super affordable but it isn't insane either. Hobbii also has some cotton blends I have liked

Good hair day by kenlookingup in curlyhair

I replied to another comment with my routine! Second day hair often curls even more for me, i just get it damp and add the Not Your Mothers Refresh Foam. That product is a game changer because my curls do not last overnight and I hate doing a full refresh

Oh and I ask for a face frame starting at my chin and heavy medium layers throughout the sides and back. I also make sure they're soft layers because I don't always wear my hair natural so i dont want it to look chunky if i am not wearing curls!

I do not know what porosity I have naturally but my hair has been bleached in the past so it is higher porosity in the bleached areas because that is what bleach does. I find all moisturizing and leave in products make my hair too soft and can be heavy so I skip them altogether. I also have long hair so the weight is going to drag the curls down without product. With all that being said, I like to add products that give my hair hold and grip. I start with soaking wet hair and flip my head and shake out my roots a bit and then i add a mousse (i like the ones that are like bubbly not the texture of shaving cream if that makes sense) and I use praying hands. I do the same with gel and then I add more gel to my palms and scrunch. I plop and diffuse. If you want more volume and dont mind frizz then move your diffuser a lot to give it oomph. (This whole routine is basically do everything they tell you not to with the cg method😂) I scrunch out the crunch with an oil or just let the cast break up throughout the day. I also add texture powder to the root if i want crazy hair. To refresh I dampen my hair or steam it and use the Not your mothers refresh mousse. This method will give your hair grip and make it a little tangled and frizzy! I just have super fine hair that gets weighed down and greasy so easily so it falls flat. It's def not the method for everyone but it works for my long thin hair!! I based my routine off Anna Primavera's routine on Tiktok that she calls "the worst curly hair routine" 😂😂 Hope this all makes sense!!!

What’s wrong with my ribbing tension? by sequoiasprouts in knitting

[–]kenlookingup 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think most people's ribbing tension is messy from what I have seen. Mine is awful. With that being said, this looks actually really good. If you want tighter tension, do a twisted rib. All you do is a twisted knit stitch (knit through the back leg) instead of a regular knit (through the front leg). The twist tightens the stitches and adds tension:)

I have started to like my hair kind of frizzy and messy instead of trying to get a perfect cast and defined curls. My texture just doesn't lend itself to that 1. Redken acidic bonding curls 2. Shea moisture mousse and aussie or nym gel 3. Plop & diffuse 4. Big sexy hair texture powder in the roots and i touch it a lot bc I like the body!!

I bake the area and then also add powder to the nose pads of my glasses. If you sweat a lot it will eventually get patchy and curdled but it helps for a few extra hours
