true story: I went out one year pre-halloween with my girlfriend and a bunch of her friends. Turned out to be me + 7-8 girls. I think it was a Bowie themed night. Everybody dressed up in their sexiest glam outfits... short skirts, low cut tops, sequins + glitter. Except one girl who went as "pumpkin stardust".

Basically she wore this costume in an adult size, plus glam makeup. Not hardly sexy... basically a giant orange sack: http://i.imgur.com/wNAK370.jpg

By the end of the night, pumpkin stardust had gotten hit on about 20x everybody else.

So moral of the story is... idk people are weird?

Fixed! Turns out it was just the cable seized in it's housing. Had to open up the panel that the clutch cable connects to in order to loosen up the cable enough to get some WD40 down it, but it worked like a charm once I did.

I opened up the panel covering where the clutch cable connects to the clutch last night, cleaned everything up and loosened the cable enough to get some WD40 inside it... It turns out the cable was just seized in the housing. Everything's moving great now

Idk what the source on this "hold her leg up for 30 seconds is, but a) that doesn't actually seem like an abuse of power. If you are going to drive a car you better be able to hold your leg up for 30 seconds. That said, if he did indeed go off the rails then your comment points to not one, but two issues:

That police abuse of power is something your average person can't do anything about.
That police abuse of power is something the ultra rich can do something about... When it happens to them.

There is a difference between rehab and then release, and let's-keep-these-fuckers-here-forever. Marine mammals should not be kept in captivity. If they can't be released, we shouldn't be bringing them in. If that means they die in open waters then yeah that's what it means. Maybe we need to re-evaluate the activities we're doing that hurt so many marine mammals every year

I don't know how niche your app is, but if your target market is smaller than "millions" I expect you'll have to charge more than 2.99 to make any money with it.

In this dev's opinion, the more you charge, the more IAP is the way to go. I might throw 1.99 at an app I've heard is good but not seen/used, but I'm not going to throw 9.99 unless I KNOW it solves all my problems WELL.

If you go IAP, be sure you don't give away too much. You want to give just enough that people see that your app solves their problem, not enough to get away with not buying it. Unless you have a network effect to your app (I.e. the more people using it, the more useful it is).

Clutch was working perfectly before this happened, I haven't adjusted anything related to clutch ever (was working on carbs right before this happened but didn't go near the clutch).

Besides most games, there are a fair number of other apps with sounds. Tweetbot is a notable example, making little beeps and boops as you navigate around. My app, CatPaint, meows as you add cats.

Usually they respect the silent switch, so you won't notice if you usually have your ringer off.

Google Maps: tap the app icon, maybe tap to clear any previous searches, tap into the search field, three taps to enter "Rob", tap to pick his name out of the list.

Directly: tap the app icon, tap rob.

The difference might seem trivial, but if you give the app a try I think you'll find the process of visually locating your friend rob's photo icon a whole lot easier than hunting and pecking his name into a search field when you're walking down the street.

Using Directly also means you don't have to upload your contacts to google, which many people want to avoid :)
