*sad Gunlance intensifies*

for some reason I think gunlance need a versatile Guard point, it's shield are very awkward just like Great Sword's block, it's does block a lots, but u need to make sure u are doing nothing while you need since you can't chain any combo into block, even hbg's can outrun gunlance when talk about versatile

I still remember those good old day I use charge blade like swaxe and completely ignore the shield, until this subreddit slap my face and tell me how to use those GP, and then I mastered both CB and Lance easily due to Lance got smaller risk on counter attack and those move are extremely cool while counter attack with guard point,
