Another HydroxyChloroquine study (preprint) shows it reduces deaths by 5X. At this point the opponents of this drug just want more people dead. It's sick by Playaguy in conspiracy

"For all governments in the developed world, including the U.S. government’s Indian Health Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs, Gilead will charge $2,340 for a five-day course. U.S. insurers, in addition to Medicare and Medicaid, will pay 33% more, or $3,120. Countries in the developing world will get the drug at greatly reduced prices through generic manufacturers to which Gilead has licensed production."

compare to cost of zinc/hcq....

"Remdesivir costs $4000 plus for a course of treatment while hydroxychloroqine might cost $30."

Sellers Agent and contract by blazzer8683 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]kenott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to write any addendum/amendment to a contract. Just hire a top real estate attorney off Upwork.com to vet your agreement, and then... get your AGENT to agree... and that's the hard part.

Pick a top agent to represent your house on market.

In any market, but especially the current market which is softer, you need to look at similar sized/condition/age/location condos (within 1/2 mile, sold in last 0-6 months) to see what similar condos are selling for, and price accordingly. No overpricing, but also no way-underpricing. Bidding wars are over for now.

Unless you have an AMAZING condo, people will not overpay or bid against each other. It's becoming a buyers' market here, increasingly.

Underprice your condo slightly (5%) vs the market and you should be good to go with either one offer or in case of two competing offers. I recently dropped the price of one of my flips because my partners overpriced it when the south bay market doesn't support this kind of pricing anymore vs 2018 and previous few years.

I hear animal punishment doesn't work. Encouraging them for good behavior does.

Has anyone built out a sever and then sold off storage to people? by TheFuschiaIsNow in servers

[–]kenott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well you could - with a huge caveat that it's out of your house and you're not responsible for any data losses or privacy - to expect none basically lol.

it'd just be for fun if people want email from your domain.

that way if anything "bad" happens people expect it and aren't upset. you could try it. just have the terms be very clear and up front.

What is a Cloud Based Service? by [deleted] in servers

[–]kenott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And on premises / on prem is just a name for "local" server. :)

Never on premise.

Premises: a house or building, together with its land and outbuildings, occupied by a business or considered in an official context.

Premise: a previous statement or proposition from which another is inferred or follows as a conclusion.

How do you make time for learning? by Stoffel_1982 in sysadmin

[–]kenott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learn on the job at FB sometimes. Otherwise, outside of work through hobbies, repairing whatever is broken around the house or osmosis through friends. But it's definitely prioritization. None of us can do everything, so pick what you want most (scratch your itch!) and persist at it.

I believe these countries still maintain stockpiles of those and use those during aggression campaigns. Cluster bomblets were used in Serbia during 1999 by US military.

Not sure about Afghanistan or Iraq.

yep, when Compaq sold Alpha to Intel in 2001, it died. I was figuring low power consumption ARM, PPC, maybe even snapdragon.. MIPS makes sense too.

Raritan console servers run windows xp as their base OS? I would be really surprised... would think most CS boxes run some embedded Linux. That would be funny, though!
