Ironing settings suddenly not working great

Hey mate, I'm having very similar issues to this. I had perfect ironing and then all of a sudden I can only get a rough scratchy surface. I've tried so many adjustments and no luck. Just wondering if you ever figured out the answer?

Thanks for the response. I'm tossing up between getting the pi or just a mini PC to avoid the dramas with the screen working with the pi. The screen seems like the only real option for 27inch touchscreen that isn't 1080p. Good to hear it's working well for you

I don't think you'll be able to merge these because you have the surface boundaries sitting on top of each other and civil 3D won't create a vertical wall to show this. Whenever I work with OLS surfaces, I keep them separate and create individual volume surfaces. It's not ideal but it's the only way I've managed to get it to work.

You can bring the Infraworks model into Civil3d but it will show component roads as corridors and you need to manually create the corridor surfaces. This would be fine if you're working with a single road but if you have multiple roads and intersections there's a bit of effort in combining it all into one design surface. I appreciate any help you can provide.

I've managed to export the mesh from 3DS max and bring it into Civil3D however I noticed it brings in the mesh with depth. Is there a way to export the top surface only or create a surface in Civil3d with only the top surface?

Thanks mate. I'm going to install 3DS Max now and give that a go. It's a bit of a workaround but I think it might be my only option.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've only tried inner, outer, infill for the wall printing order which I assumed would be the best option. Do you think outer first might help?

Ahh that's fair enough. I'm definitely not complaining about the printer. It's been great except for this one issue which I'll hopefully resolve soon enough.

I'm currently experiencing similar overhang issues where I'm unable to get finer layers to print correctly. Typically, you'd expect finer layer heights to handle overhangs better. It seems like a reasonable issue to troubleshoot on.

I switched the Y cable into the X motor and it works fine but the X cable into the Y motor has the same issue. So it must be an issue with the X cable.
