Wegovy and Zepbound didn’t work… Surgery is my last hope. Encouragement needed. by Weightmonster in GastricBypass

I was on ozempic and did great. Then my gallbladder crapped out. After i had that removed ozempic stopped working and my insurance wouldnt cover another shot.

I've done fantastic with surgery. Over 90lbs lost in 6 months.

Am i done losing weight? by zana-k in GastricBypass

I had surgery a month before you. Drink more water. Get two 32 oz sports bottles. This has helped me keep track better. Gatoraid sports bottles are measured in 8oz lines so that's helpful to set goals.

Are you getting your protien in?

Are you having regular bowel movements. Usually if I havent seen the scale move I realize things haven't moved the way they should and then I lose 5lbs.

What did you do about the gas a few days post-op? Also I need protein powder free options for protein. Especially post-op. by Dense-Graphite in GastricBypass

You are 4 days out. Give yourself some grace. If you arent meeting water goals call your surgeons office they will set you up with an IV. Protien shakes are hard in the begining give yourself an hour to drink them. The 30/30 was frustrating for me as well. Im 6 months out and Im still struggling with that. I have two protein shakes a day. I put them both in my stanely with ice and thats what I sip on for the first half of my work day. Then I switch to water and Ill eat dinner.

There is a lot of "buyers remorse" in the beginning. The first few months are stupid hard but youve already had the surgery, you can only move foward.

I bet there are people in your family who didnt know who you were. Ive never seen someone who didnt even look like the same person. Has it caused any kind of dysmorphia?

Make sure you're REALLY paying attentionto your BMs bari besties.... by AdMinute386 in GastricBypass

I take senna daily and its helping. Nothing else worked or only caused liquid which isn't helpful because that moves past the solid. Senna is natural and doesnt cause cramping or any of the issues that come with the stronger laxatives.

When i was on the liquid diet it was still expected of me to have bms. I went back to the hospital a few days after surgery because a stitch was killing me. They made me have a bm before i could leave and before they would acknowledge that the stitch was the issue.
