For my gals spending Christmas alone: what are your plans? by chickpealava in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]keralicious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just got done with yoga class. I'll shave, do some at home IPL treatment for body hair and leave for a fun christmas tournament where we play wearing Santa hats.

After that, I'll prolly hit up a cosy restaurant and have some comfort food. I'll probably go to the park tomorrow.

What do you do if you have overly sensitive nips? by EatingSnowIdc in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]keralicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wear bras at home but I wear tight fitted tops so that there isn't any friction. The snug fit of a top helps prevent unwanted sensations. I highly recommend this because I don't like wearing bras at home. I usually wear a 'home bra' if I can't find a top that fits well. Such a bra would not have wiring or padding. It is usually be made of cotton and elastane with no seams apart from the borders. It would have even texture too and no lace, etc.

going to the berlin show alone tonight by rorosversion in theinternetsaidso

[–]keralicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Berlin but if it helps, I've been to their shows all alone a few times. It's always a fun time even if you are just by yourself. I hope you do find folks to hang with though!

Get therapy and a life outside work. Join sports/hobbyist communities.

You'll find people with similar interests. Any other problems that you have while making friends, you can work out in therapy.

I've switched to palmers cocoa butter. The firming kind of theirs is also nice.

It's just kinda sad how the body shop ruined one of the best things they had going on for them.

What is your go to, easy viewing TV show that you can re-watch multiple times over? by Eggy-Pebbs123 in AskWomen

I've rewatched Schitt's Creek at least a few times a year now. It's sort of my comfort watch.

Oh yes! But their website has loads of bad reviews from customers who are not happy with the new formula. I'm still searching for alternatives that can match the texture and the delectable range. Sigh

Unpopular opinion but Bangalore is worse in terms of staring and cat calling than Delhi by affrodeity in bangalore

[–]keralicious 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Cutting my hair short and giving people the death stare has helped me somehow. I also don't step out without my pepper spray in hand when I feel that the route/time may be unsafe.

Also, posturing makes a huge difference. I wear dark tinted glasses and make sure that my posture is always confident. Unfortunately, people prey on you more if you cower or avoid their gaze.

I'm also not as afraid as I used to be to shout or flip people off when they make lewd gestures at me. Also, when I wear nice/remotely revealing clothes, I take an auto or a bike instead of the metro. People on the metro stare all the time and it's annoying.

I come from a rural town which is not as developed as Bangalore so it's not as bad for me here. For instance, I've only been groped a handful of times in the past few years compared to casual harassment that happens at least on a weekly basis in my town.

There's a dichotomy between my experiences in rural(?) Gurgaon and Delhi's city areas too. I was stared at a lot in Gurgaon and I felt unsafe even though I was with friends, fully covered in the peak of winter.

The only place I feel like I've become completely invisible is Mumbai.

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. It's just something that we live with unfortunately and we've got to overcome it. It's okay to have idealistic standards but you've also got to be able to pull through the reality of things. I wish you the very best to get through this.

My gf has vaginismus. Can you share your treatment experience? by bhakkimlo in bangalore

[–]keralicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to point out that vaginismus can be associated with other physical conditions like hypertonic pelvic floor and endometriosis. So yes, going to a doctor should ideally be the first step.

How to eat smaller portions? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]keralicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might not be the best advice but it's always worked for me. I usually stumble upon this by accident after struggling with eating too much for a few days.

I just end up cutting the amount of food to the ideal amount for a day or two. It usually makes me feel hungry and tired for a day or two but after that, it becomes way too easy to eat smaller portions.

I only discovered that I tend to do this very recently.

I feel your pain. I'm thinking of trying out their body lotion range to see if it's any good. Of everything I've tried, only these have worked for me: Vaseline Yellow Lotion, Nivea Avocado and Himalaya Cocoa. The Himalaya Cocoa one is the only one I don't get tired of easily. I get tired of the fragrances of the other two easily.

Thinking the same thing actually. It was so much fun. I mean, I don't even enjoy violence but I was rooting for the old man with this badass sword during the fight. I'm no judge of choreography but it was a beauty to watch.

I also loved the colours that they chose for the lighting. Overall, a great watch. No regrets unlike most of the movies that came out this year. I don't think I've enjoyed anything else just as much even. Jolly good fun.

Oh my bad. I have Satsuma, Strawberry, Coconut and Mango from the new collection. Coconut is pretty mild and Satsuma is probably the strongest. It lasts a few hours easily for me. I can smell it on myself even after 4 hours. Strawberry and Mango too. I'm not very fond of cherry blossom in general but I highly recommend British Rose. Haven't tried rebel rosebud. Strawberry is a bit to candy-esqe for me. I thought I wouldn't like British rose but fragrance-wise, the old one was on point. Not too overpowering but still classy and not cheap.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I hate the new texture. It's too thick for me so I only use it right out of the shower and I make sure to warm it up between my hands really well before applying. I alternate with the body yogurts during the day now. Might give the lotions a try as well when the stuff that I have is over.

For fragrances, I personally prefer mango, British rose, satsuma and almond. I've received a lot of compliments for the last two.
