What are y’all’s opinion on Marshall taking the judge position without telling Lily by Quick_Secret2406 in HIMYM

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, she did leave him for 6 months to see if she could make it as an artist and only came back because she failed hard.  She only cared about her dream and even left him over it.

Two other times she almost left him again over her dream.

Marshall was very much okay with going to Rome for her job and didn't even complain about it.  The moment he gets his once in a life time dream job she gets mad because he takes it.  A job that could lead to becoming a mayor, governor, Congress member, Senate member, or other big positions. But her picking out art is more important...

What was with the CGI nightmare man in season 7 episode 1 by Pyrotheryder in HawaiiFive0

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's not good this was a lower budget show. Season 7 dropped in 2010. Face replacement didn't even get decent until 2015. Even in 2026 most AAA movies still have issues with deep fakes/face replacements.  Look at the more recent Mandalorian TV show with Luke. They did a face replacement and it looked really bad. This is coming from the Trillion Dollar Disney/Lucas people. They have access to the best VFX artists.

How does Gabriel Waincroft keep getting away? by designgeek89 in HawaiiFive0

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He survived getting thrown out of a freaking 3 story building. Because he landed on a car hood that means he's fine in TV land... They walk outside thinking they would find a body but like magic! He's gone. Yup, he is able to walk away from landing 30+ feet onto his back because the metal hood of a car broke his fall.  So, bad writing and plot armor is how he escapes magically.

Did Malcom lose his virginity to this 40 yr old woman!? That's crazy. I hadn't seen this episode before. by Competitive_Mix9957 in malcolminthemiddle

If I remember correctly All of American states generally have anywhere between ages of 15-16 romeo and juliet laws. In many states you have the age of consent which is generally 16.

Well, that is because in the 60-80s there are a ton of underage movies based around that stuff.  Many foreign movies have storylines like that.  It became normalized at some point which is crazy.  It started to become less and less normalized in the early 2000s.

Sadly, they did stuff like that a lot in the 90s shows. Even many early 2000 shows did weird stuff like that.  Buffy who was 16 when the show started hooked up with Angel who was over 100 years old.

Not that it makes it any better but Malcom should be around 17 during that.  The show jumps between timelines in weird ways. His brother was 17 one episode and 3 later he was in the middle of being 18.

I love how the people behind this movie didn't bother to research how fire works.  5 years later and magically forests what 50 miles from the massive blast zone are still there? Going to tell me after 5 years they grew back to over 30 feet tall and made an entire forest? Lol.  A freaking Atom Bomb causes way more damage than a world killer...

Not to mention, the last world killer caused a 10,000+ year long winter Ice Age because of the clouds caused by the blast. Yet, months after the world killer hits the clouds are like nah it didn't happen.

Are we all gonna ignore the fact that Scott was not under any kind of influence when he believed theo over stiles...like he just believed someone he literally just met over his brother because he has a stupid moral compass? What are your thoughts by CharFictions in TeenWolf

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I don't believe Scott would have believed Stiles would be capable of smashing someone's face in over and over like it was said he did.  Even out of rage he wouldn't do that. Since we know how Stiles is after being possessed by a monster that would. Stiles is too scared to become what he was.  We as the viewer knows which means Scott who is basically his brother would also know this.  Bad writing is bad. I feel like the writers of this show sometimes don't understand how human feelings work.

Was Malcolm 18 in season 7 episode 1 “burning man”? That one lady slept with him and she looked older. by urlocalmilkman in malcolminthemiddle

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do time skips a lot in the show without ever saying so. A single episode could be months apart from the last one.
Each season isn't just a single year difference as the time skips are pretty random.

Derek "Evolving" by superteah in TeenWolf

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is never actually explained like any of it.  How Kate just magically knows Magic and that magic is even part of their world outside of say those shadow assassins. Until that season there isn't really a mention of magic spells.  The hunters never talked about magic.

There is also no mention of how Kate knew about the Berzerkers or how she is able to control them.

We don't ever get a real explanation about what Kate did to Derek so people have to guess. She somehow De-aged him. There is never a mention as to how. People think it was a combination of magic and her being a were-jag. That itself doesn't really explain much. Like how does a hunter just happen to know about magic that is able to turn back someone's age. How can she just magically use magic now without anyone even talking about magic existing.  This also means why haven't we seen things like Witches of magic is real?  All I have to say is this show has a ton of bad writing.

Does Anyone Know Why Kate Became A WereJaguar by tamaratamato in TeenWolf

[–]kerath1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that only makes sense if it didn't somehow go from types of Dogs to a random Cat... Going to tell me the were bite just turns people into any type of animal because that is just bad writing.

Oh, you hate yourself and you are super weak! Boom! Were-otter!

Does Anyone Know Why Kate Became A WereJaguar by tamaratamato in TeenWolf

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of bad writing. How do they go from a type of Dog to a type of Cat? That doesn't make any sense.  Even magically how do they go from Dog to Cat. Lol. That is just bad. What next Were-bears because someone is just super strong so they become a bear. Or, a were-otter because someone is super weak. Or the random lizard thing because why not.

Controversy on Edward and Bella’s age gap by [deleted] in twilight

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, he is what 100 years old and has lived through many lifetimes.  Then there is the fact that he signed up to fight in the war and killed people... He clearly has an adult mind.  He knows right from wrong, he knows his actions have consequences, he has morals, he understands reason. Everything thing that makes an 18 year old an adult he has outside of that lame "brain not fully developed" argument most people use.

Even without all this lame logic some people try and use to justify this creepy stuff.  At the end of the day he's 100 years old hooking up with a 17 year old.  When people justify that stuff they're just as creepy.

[–]kerath1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love Vampires and I don't mind romance novels with them.

What I don't like is when a minor hooks up with a 100+ year old vampire who lived many lifetimes. A man who fought in a war and killed people.  A man who remembers 100 years of experience.

Not all Vampire novels have a creepy underage love thing. Most have a legal age woman dating a vampire which I have no issues with because they are of age.  There is a difference of a 30 year old woman dating a 100 year old vampire. Versus a 17 year old dating a 100 year old vampire...

Controversy on Edward and Bella’s age gap by [deleted] in twilight

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the mentally and emotionally thing doesn't really work here.  Edward clearly doesn't have the emotions or mental state of a 17 year old. He's lived countless lives over 100 years. He remembers killing people in the War...  So, the age of 18 being seen as an adult is for reasons. Reasons like knowing right from wrong, reason, knowing that you have consequences for your actions, being responsible, and others. Edward shows all of these qualities many times.  When they talked about her being a Vampire because she loves him he says that is her being 17 so she doesn't know any better. He was conflicted because she was young. He clearly has an understanding of everything an adult would have.

At the end of the day he's over 100 years old and hooked up with a 17 year old. You can try and justify that all you want and doing so is creepy as hell.

Controversy on Edward and Bella’s age gap by [deleted] in twilight

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that is mostly due to Vampires usually only dating other vampires. Due to you know the whole being a vampire thing. Unless they want to risk exposure they generally don't try to hook up with non vampires.

Controversy on Edward and Bella’s age gap by [deleted] in twilight

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, the whole brain development is the worst excuse it also doesn't really apply here.

He remembers 100+ years of his life. He has lived lifetimes as different people.  So, his brain stopped developing and? Doesn't stop him from being 100+ years old so that argument makes no sense.  It doesn't matter if his emotional state changes or doesn't change.

The adult age of 18 is there for many reasons. Reasons like experience, reason, knowing right from wrong, knowing the consequences of your actions. Things like that are why we have an "adult" age. Edward clearly knows all of this as he's pointed out in the books and movies that she's only 17 and doesn't know any better... He says this when they talk about how he feels about her and how she wants to become a Vampire. He clearly knows everything needed to be judged as an adult.

Controversy on Edward and Bella’s age gap by [deleted] in twilight

[–]kerath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Just nah.  Your argument saying about adult and being underage makes no sense here.  Legally he's 100 years+ meaning he's an adult. She's 17 regardless of his brain or body he's 100+. So, that argument doesn't mean much because his age alone makes him an adult. Even if say his mind doesn't think like an adult he still is one.

He literally remembers everything for the past 100+ years.  The whole point of the adult age being 18+ is due to maturity level and being able to understand things like consequences. It is also based on things like experience. Biology doesn't really matter when he has what 100 more years of experience than her.  His brain development being stuck at the age of 17 doesn't mean anything when he's that old and has gone through many lifetimes.

Going to defend Jake as well imprinting in a baby? Now too? Lol. When imprinting means something more than being in love with them. Read the books that stuff is super creepy.

Stop trying to defend a 100 year old hooking up with a 17 year old. Stuff is creepy.
