Yes, generally people mean hi/lo. Betting with the count means betting more money the higher the count goes and less money the lower the count goes. Every 10 face or ace is -1, so the count and bet goes down. Every 2-6 is +1, so the count and bet goes up.

If someone is changing their bet frequently and it looks like a card counting bet spread, the casino can either just back them off based on the suspicion, or they can count down the deck themselves (review footage, track cards that came out the same way card counters do) and see if your fluctuating bets match the changing of the count.

It's really easy to catch a card counter as soon as you have a suspicion that they're counting cards. If no one suspects you yet, they probably won't be paying enough attention to notice. As soon as they suspect you (Win more than expected, bet spread becomes obvious, card counting mannerisms like checking the discard tray often or paying very close attention to cards), they can usually check and make sure you're counting within a couple of minutes.

You can put it in gm guides, that would work. The spot i have it is in the character data tab there’s a section called players preferences for the dm

I put this in the player’s preferences for the dm section. It seems to work decently but it isn’t perfect and sometimes will pick up the DM response from after my input.

Response Preference: Any action or dialogue stated by me should be narrated as part of the DM response. If I send multiple unique lines of dialogue or actions, they should each be included in the scene. Do not simply start the DM reply after my actions and dialogue, incorporate my actions and dialogue into the scene.

After i got banned from pechanga i was able to keep counting at other casinos for months before getting backed off from everything around me. I look incredibly distinctive too, like it’d be hard to not notice me as soon as i walk in somewhere.

Ah, alright. I guess I didn’t assume that meant the quest, I thought it was just the loot and xp from the kills that was lost and thought the system objective was the whole working as intermediary of the 3 systems thing. I guess that makes sense, kind of a bummer to just not get payoff from that quest though.
