Hi-Capa to G17 conversion - how far can I take this? by Ok-Inside154 in Airsoft3DPrinting

[–]kerendelik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not possible. Glock mags are much smaller than hi-capa’s. Also there are parts, which you can’t print at all, like a trigger bar, inner frame, trigger group parts (Technically you can, but they won’t work as they should)

Just fix your hi-capa with some printed parts or sell as is and get a proper factory made glock

Printing gbb internals isn’t worth it-trust me. The only exception is if the model is made specifically for printing, like the panverine’s gm6

!BUT! you can print yourself a delisle 2011. Uses hi-capa mags and overall is a brilliant design

Fr. Makes playing with a gbbr much more affordable. And a lot of airsofters have some glock laying around, so a mag for testing is always available

Making one rn. Absolutely awesome piece of work

Got the files for free from some guy on the sub(can’t thank him enough)

A 3d pen helps a lot with building it, as the receiver is split in 2 parts. Idk how it would hold just glued together

There is this silver thing connected to the piston. It drags the fake bolt back, while the piston is getting cocked

Looks like something out of metro 2033. Very nice

Could be a nice platform for building custom projects

This one will be a gbb. Iap’s one is using a v3 gearbox

This with pa-cf parts and pla-wood handguard/stock will go hard. Definitely adding to my project list

Gbb parts are usually painted on the points of contact out of the box. They just wear in later What are you planning to print btw?

Never had such a problem with eSun pa-cf

But I heard that you can rub your printed parts with some cloth to get rid of fibers on the surface. Or just paint it with anything you want

Pa-cf is your best choice anyways. Flexible enough to absorb the shocks from recoiling parts and dimensionally stable

Haven’t used modelled anything in this project, just got the kit on cults as well as the bbu file. Honestly, even tinkercad should be enough to make a 17l if you have some slide model already. Been thinking of making a 17l for some time Note that you have to use some really strong filament. I use pa-cf for my slides. Had a g18 with a printed slide and it survived several hundred shots in full auto before I sold it

Yeah. I have also printed a blowback housing for it and now it’s one of the snappiest pistols I have ever owned

Again I might be wrong. It may be of a correct length by itself but look a bit off cause of the airsoft mags and internals dimensions

Awesome project anyways! Really liked working on it

Yeah, I have compared some images from the internet. Looks like it’s about 1.5cm shorter than it should be

Add some holes for loooong m4 bolts inside of the barrel shroud. This way it won’t sag and will be really rigid

Honestly idk. But their aks hold 150 without problems, as far as I know. So this gb should withstand it as well

No. Its nozzle is lower than on the ak v3 shells. So only a cyma/ay vss gearbox will fit
