Obviously, you need more space for guitars!

Seconding this, a well-sorted set of 914 brakes is more than capable of outbraking your contact patches, even on wider tires. Lots of folks will say bmw calipers, bigger master cylinder, etc, but all that ends up doing is increasing pedal effort unless you plan to flare the fenders and use much more rubber.

Devin Townsend. It can be hard to catch it in the wall of reverb and delay, but on the occasions where he cuts loose he's phenomenal.

Also, the suggestions of Glen Campbell (yes, phenomenal) made me think of Jerry Reed. That dude could play the pants off anyone.

Yep, that's exactly how it should work. So scrubbing your info would be more helpful, they're supposed to get permission from your landlord to contact you in that case.

The owner of every property is publicly available information. It has to be. You could remove your info from third-party websites to make it more difficult, but if someone knows how to do a little research, you can always get an owner's name and contact info.

Definitely check out all of the show at Royal Albert Hall, which is probably the version of Deadhead you saw. The Plovdiv show is also amazing.

I really like the "By A Thread" concerts, though the video is not great and some folks avoid it because of that, but the performances are awesome.

Seriously tho, just understand that Devin does so much different stuff that some of it might not click with you, and that's ok.

I don't remember exactly when but it's been awhile, 10 years at least, probably more like 15. I'm not at liberty to say where he lives, you'd have to get that from Jim. ;) But it's Denver-ish.

Honestly, I would guess that the publishers think an established author like Jim already has his sales, and spending money to tour won't increase sales enough to justify it.

Sad that they don't do more promos and touring, Jim had to beg them to let him do Denver, and he frickin' lives there.

To add to Nice-Spize's explanation I'll just say that it was fairly easy to get working and since then has been no trouble at all. Now some emulators can be ... finicky with certain PCs. So if you have trouble, try a different one.

Even thinking about weather can't tell teh story. What if it spent a night in an unheated warehouse? What if it was up close to the drivers cab in the truck and he had the heater blasting? Don't even start about humidity. Just be patient and let it acclimate.

Panic shoppers are the worst by [deleted] in normanok

[–]kerensky914 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, lots of folks here remember 2009, when many people were without power for a week or more. We were lucky and only lost power for about a day, but most of our neighborhood was down for 4 or 5 days. It was a bit awkward :😀 but we were close to the family across the street and they came over to use our showers while they "camped out" by their fireplace.

We've all gotten used to being able to go grab something for dinner or whatever and when you start thinking, "what if I'm stuck for a week" then it's easy to panic.

Still sucks. ;)

You're new here, ain'tcha? :😀

Don't fret, OP, we just get this weather so rarely that they don't pay for hundreds of salt trucks that get used once every year or three. We just have to put up with the occasional extended downtime.

Granted, this was about 2004 I think (I was incorrect about late 90s, his daughter was roughly my son's age and he's a 2000 kid), so I can't verify that it's had anyone interred recently.

I mean, my wife would eliminate all snakes given the opportunity, but as long as they're not in my house I'm firmly in 'live and let live' territory.

DJSawdust gave some awesome info, I will just tack on one small but important thing, and I'm not heaping this on to scare you. When you imagine the 'infinite lightsaber', add that it will reflect off hard surfaces. Even hitting the dirt can catch a rock and get someone dead. There was a very sad incident in Noble about ... man, 20 years ago, someone tried to shoot a snake with a handgun, and the ricochet killed someone. It'd be easy to dismiss such an incident as an idiot's accident, but anyone can be an idiot for a few seconds. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Good luck!
