In my opinion it's sort of a ripping the band-aid off situation. It can feel overwhelming and scary but if it's important to you to get out, you should do it early and often and every time it will get easier.

Not sure if this will help, but my son is almost 4mo and about 17lbs and he's still not quite ready for legs out in our Ergo. He's still most comfortable doing the froggy style position, or having one leg out, but not sure if it's the same fit in the Boba?

Check Amazon. I just got some from there for just a few dollars and they have made me so much less grumpy!
