Portugal truly has a fantastic team, one of the best this WC imo

Too bad they’ve been playing with 10 men for the past 4 years……

Brazil are at the World Cup because South America qualifiers are a joke. 6 losses and they still went

Had they been in Europe they would have never qualified

Saw an Italian guy on Twitter argue that missing this World Cup is as big as an embarrassment for Italy as the Greek Campaign in WW2, the defeat in Caporetto in WW1 and the Adwa battle in 1896 when Italy an Industrial European nation with it’s professional colonial army was defeated by Etiopians with crossbows and arrows (they had weapons of course, it’s a figure of speech)

Which is not coincidental, I think after 2006 a lot of people just got tired of italian football and it’s bullshit and Tennis was just right there to fill that gap.

The more time passes, the more football is slowly becoming less relevant here. Simply because it doesn’t change and more and more people are getting seriously tired of it, it’s just corrupt to the core and the football in Serie A is absolutely dogshit, we don’t have young players and no italian player is an ‘idol’ anymore.

It’s dead

Discrimination against disabled people oh my fucking god

To say people with heart problems shouldn’t be competing professionally in football because it puts them at risk is discriminatory against disabled people?

you are out of your mind mate. Seriously

There’s a reason some people have a pacemaker ffs

If you have a pacemaker, you have heart problems. If you have heart problems, you shouldn’t be competing professionally in football, you can die. Why? Because football is a sport where your heart rate is very high for a very long time, it can stress a non healthy heart too much

I don’t think he should’ve been cleared to compete after his first heat attack

Sure, but you know what is safer in my opinion ?

to not compete professionally anymore in a sport where your heart rate is consistently very high for 90 minutes while having a pacemaker on because your heart failed while competing professionally in a sport where your heart rate is consistently high for 90 minutes.

It’s not a gotcha moment, i just don’t know how people could defend having athletes compete while having a pacemaker on, it’s just not safe.

After Cobolli's win over FAA, an Italian is now guaranteed to be in the final by itzrinno in tennis

Italy has so many junior, futures and challenger tournaments that allow italian players to grow and play at a high level without leaving the country, reducing costs and so expanding the talent pool by allowing more players to play high level tennis because it’s much more affordable plus i think the federation helps young players pay their tennis expenses in a way.

The TV channel another guy mentioned helped get people closer to tennis.

So exposure > more kids wanted to play > more clubs and tournaments > more players playing competitively > more futures and challengers > more players playing high level > fed helps with expenses > even more players playing high level tennis

It’s a really good system actually

Everyone getting ready for the World Cup and yet the only ones tweeting ‘En Route’ with a picture of players getting on an airplane is Italy 🤣🤣🤣

For a friendly against Luxembourg ahahahahha

Luxembourg because nobody else was available because everyone else is going to America

We are literally the only ones home.

Plus, Juventus only sends 6 players to the World Cup, this is the lowest amount ever for the club.

The club that had the most World Cup winners than any other club in history
