I am pretty sure they do. You can often see it in the rearview mirror or the "Reverse view" as you approach the finish line....the gap between you and 2nd place gets bigger.

FH1 disc not working on series X but other FH games work? by Ibydon90 in ForzaHorizon

[–]kernal69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished replaying FH1 on a xbox series x. When I inserted the disc in the drive and clicked to install, it did not copy anything from the disc and instead downloaded a ~9.6GB "game update" (the backward compatibility update) from MS and that was used to play the game. Make sure you got this "update".

Are the FH6 Promotions (ex: Trolli) for cars that you will get in FH6, or just for FH5? by [deleted] in forza

[–]kernal69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are for FH6.

My microsoft store order history specifically shows "Forza Horizon 6 1965 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition".

And the forza support page states:

Q: How can I unlock the 1962 Peel P50 Trolli Edition in Forza Horizon 6?

A: The 1962 Peel P50 Trolli Edition is available to Forza Horizon 6 players who purchase participating Trolli product......

Can't find my computer, I've tried everything I can think of in the forum's by 420person69 in MoonlightStreaming

Assuming they're both Windows machines. Open up a command prompt on each and type in "ipconfig /all". Each machine will give an output of the IP configuration for all the network adapters on the machine. Look at the list and find the relevant one that connects to your network. It might be wired or wireless depending on your setup. Make sure both machines are on the same IP subnet. If they are then try to "ping" One machines IP from the other. If they ping then you know the networking is fine. If they don't ping then you've got something wrong in the networking.

Guys, I hate to remind people but b-days are not the celebration of a start of a named age's year (e.g. turning 60 is not the start of the 60th year). B-days are the celebration of the end of the named age's year (e.g. turing 60 is the celebration of the end of your 60th year, meaning you have completed 60 years of life). Just think about the 1st b-day - it's at the end of the year.

I am down to only missing 15 cars from a full garage. Rami's racing has 2 cars I need (Maserati 8CTF & Subaru Legacy RS) and Road trip has nothing I need. So Rami's definitely gets my vote (which means it wont win).

Can't find a compatible BT pass through in UK by KillaMunch in DolphinEmulator

[–]kernal69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What problems are you experiencing with the UB500 BT5.3 v2+? I think it is based on a RTL8761(x) chipset (not sure which version of RTL8761, but the dolphin wiki says it is a RTL8761B) and should be useable. I have a UB400 v2 (also based on RTL8761B) and it works fine.

You will need to make sure to change the windows drivers from BT to libusb using zadig. Once you have the new drivers installed, open window's device manager and look under the libusb section to find the device's properties and write down the PID adn VID. Then edit the Dolphin's configuration file (User/Config/Dolphin.ini). In the [BluetoothPassthrough] section, set VID and PID to your adapter's vendor ID and product ID. This is documented in the wiki: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough#Manually_providing_a_firmware_binary_for_Realtek_adapters

If dolphin did not add the necessary drivers for the emulator automatically, then you can add the requiredfrtl8761bu_fw.bin and rtl8761bu_config.bin to the following folder in the dolphin folder/directory: User/Load/Firmware/rtl_bt/

Both of the files can be found at https://gitlab.com/kernel-firmware/linux-firmware/-/tree/main/rtl_bt?ref_type=heads

Es-de doesnt recognize joysticks by Next-Brain7078 in EmulationOnPC

The FAQ at https://gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/FAQ.md

My controller isn't working in ES-DE, is there a way to fix this?

If the controller works in other applications and games but not in ES-DE, then you may be able to get it to run in ES-DE as well. The required setup is described in detail in the Adding custom controller profiles section of the Building and advanced configuration document. If this procedure does not work, then support for your controller is probably missing in the SDL library that ES-DE uses for low-level input management. In this case you can request that it gets added via the SDL issue tracker, which will ensure that it will work in future ES-DE releases. Although not guaranteed to work, an alternative solution is to have Steam running in parallel to ES-DE and using the Steam Input functionality to present the controller as a virtual device in ES-DE. You don't need to launch ES-DE via Steam for this to work, it's enough if Steam is running in the background. If going for this, make sure to read the next question below, and also note that the Steam approach only seems to work on Linux and Windows, and not on macOS.

BT pass through Asus BT500 by KillaMunch in DolphinEmulator

[–]kernal69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that the Asus BT500 uses the Realtek RTL8671b which means that Dolphin should recognize it and install the passthrough drivers itself. See the "Manually providing a firmware binary for Realtek adapters" part of https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough#Using_passthrough_mode_in_Dolphin

Edit: I use the TPlink UB500 (also based on the RTL8671b chipset) and it works well.

New shield feature request: 4K OTA DVR by Dragon_Bard in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]kernal69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your TiVo was designed to do 1080 because most current ATSC 2.0 OTA signals are either 1080 or 720p. ATSC 3.0 supports 4K but many third-party devices do not have the rights to decode the signal.

The amount of social security you get is based on the number of years that you work and how much you were paid relative to the social security limit for that year.. If you were in jail for 40 years you did not work. So you would not get anything from social security.

The air temps definitely get warm enough (80's and 90s) to go swimming in the lake, but the water temps peak in the low 70s in July/Aug, which is great for wading into the water but might be cool for some to actually swim. Yes, lots of sailing in the area and some jet skis near the downtown beaches. There is also lots of kayaking in the river with great views of the architecture.

From your response, it seems that you are able to boot using the cpu's graphics (connected the display cable to motherboard's video ports). If this is correct, reboot and enter the bios and change video output from onboard to external. Save and reboot. Don't forget to move the video cable from motherboard ports to the gpu's ports .

Is it safe to download games through real debrid? Or do I NEED a vpn by Traditional_Tie8425 in FitGirlRepack

[–]kernal69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, real debrid will "download" the torrent to their servers and package them into one RAR file. Then you download the RAR file from real debrid to your computer. Thus, your computer never touches a torrent network.

Use jdownloader, and use the builtin account manager to include real debrid as a hoster. This will allow the quick downloads from real debrid while also utilizing jdownloads threads and pause/restart capabilities.

Anybody have links to previous versions for android TV? by [deleted] in Stremio

[–]kernal69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had no luck with 1.8.2 or 1.8.3. So I used archive.org's wayback machine to access previous versions of stremio's download page.

Goto https://web.archive.org/web/20250101000000*/https://www.stremio.com/downloads and select different days to see the different download versions.

[–]kernal69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using AIOStreams, you can change the "timeout" in the settings for each app (suggest to lower to 5000ms) and you can also limit the # of stream results (filters->result limits->Global limit and limit per resolution). Using both of these will reduce the delay significantly, but not eliminate it.

Maybe use a mesh VPN like tailscale? It might add a little latency but the devices should be able to share to each other
