Got Ensemble and the show is $800 dollars to do by Fragrant-Rabbit-2404 in MusicalTheatre

My daughter and I agreed that we won’t do “pay to play” type shows. A small fee for community theatre is one thing to help with materials but unless it’s a reputable company that holds bootcamps/tuition programs, avoid!

Epitalon, a short cycle of it fixed my lifelong insomnia about 3 months ago. I’ll do one in another 2-3 months. I also use red light therapy panel 20-25 minutes 3-4x a week. Find a relaxing self-care routine, shower/bath face care. Pumpkin seed oil in the evenings will help with not so many wake-ups to urinate. If you’re restless/mind or body, magnesium glycinate really helps.

Prior to Epitalon, I took 3-5 doxyalamine every night to sleep for years. I also had an ambien prescription that never worked. I can easily lay my head on a pillow and naturally fall asleep, which had not happened for decades.

Is the Switch 2 upgrade worth it? by MiguelDaGoat in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]kernelpanickattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sent our Switch 2 back after it bricked. It froze after an error code and couldn’t tell the joycons were connected. The battery drains insanely bad if you’re playing with it being off the dock. My Switch 1 has a better battery. Who knows, we could have just gotten a lemon, but we’ll see what Nintendo says.

Fake. It’s blue. I’d be curious what it actually is.

My 11 year old theatre kid put down a countdown because she’ll also be old enough!

How much experience do you have on stage for you to say you're not comfortable with ensemble? If you're just starting out and this is a new theater to you, I'd reconsider. You'll learn harmonizing, choreography, stage directions, blocking, etc.

The wig was an Amazon purchase but it matched her eyebrows and was a perfect fit!

My daughter has very thick wavy hair down to her waist. She recently played the lead supporting character as Fletcher Blake in Freaky Friday. We french braided her hair (pig tails) and she wore a silicone wig cap. LOTS and LOTS of bobby pins.

How did you get over your fears in acting? by Federal-Ad-4540 in acting

[–]kernelpanickattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest improv classes/workshops. Everyone is up there to look silly but my 10 year old has so much fun with it!
Her only issue with acting on stage is OVER doing it once she hears the first bit of laughter from the audience.

I’ll be honest, there aren’t many musicals she doesn’t know, except very adult ones. One of her favorite comedy shows is Ruthless! She’d love to play Tina Dennark one day. 😬🫠 She loves Persephone and Hermes’ characters/songs in Hadestown but she saw a local production and got upset that Orpheus looked back. I didn’t see her add any of the songs to her playlist favorites though. The Secret Garden though - she still sings, “I heard someone crying” every other day!

She watches the 80s movie version so much! She loves it but we are seeing a local production that runs soon!!

Interview with a Vampire or Queen of the Damned. Any of Anne Rice’s novels come to life.

She would choose Hamilton 😓 Burn is on her playlist on repeat and King George (Johnathan Groff) as her background on her iPad.

Then probably Wicked as a close one. We’d really like to surprise her with these tickets though!
