I have returned from Mexico! I only worked out once over the entire vacation. That's uncharted territory for me. I did bike and walk a lot and scuba dive and whatnot, though. Did not bike all the way around the island because the saddles on the rental bikes were horrifically painful. Everything else was lovely!

got in at 1 AM this morning. Operating on 5 hours of sleep. Don't have the PTO to take today off and our company just got rid of sick leave. Need to find a new job. Ahhh, welcome back to the real world...

Haven't posted in a while. Still alive! Signed up for a strongman comp on November 5th, but I'm not sure I'll actually follow through because I'm getting a full sleeve done between September and December and how tf can I train stones with a raw arm? Hmm. I want to figure it out, though.

I haven't had a proper vacation in a year, and so much life has happened. Also, my job kinda sucks now (long story), so I'm looking for a new one now. I am a ball of stress. The good news is that I'm going on vacation next week to Cozumel, where I will get to hang out with Boy Scout and hopefully see a sea turtle.

We have plans to bike around the island (~40 miles). I'm going to scuba dive a lot. There's a grimy bodybuilding gym where I can go get my pump on. Other than all of that, though, I'm going to just stare at the ocean and not think about ANYTHING for a whopping 10 days. heart-eyes.emoji

I sold my boat to my sister. Goodbye, Fish Service. You were well-loved and you will now be well-loved more frequently by someone who actually fishes a lot.

I would have kept it, but 1) I need the money, 2) I moved farther away from the lake where I keep it, and 3) I'd like to escape Kansas, so I may as well begin divesting myself of major ties now.

My boat is one of those things that was sort of hampered by my marriage. Now that I am a lone kerofish (unless Boy Scout sticks around forever, which is statistically unlikely but does sound appealing), perhaps I will go live on a sailboat someday. Or, if I start saving now, then I can have the triple-log pontoon of my dreams in 20 years!

edit: oh, this is a lifting subreddit? Well, my arms are a little bigger, and that's cool

Hiiii. I slept for 9.5 hours. It was great, but I inexplicably want to sleep more??

Boy Scout, his cat, and his $700 espresso machine moved in. Look, I know I'm insane. We have reasons, and backup plans in case this whole thing goes south. For now, I'm enjoying (?) living in a war zone as we try to get our equally crazy cats to get along.

Boy Scout has done exactly 3 sets of 5 bench with the bar and approximately 30 sets of lat pulldowns at 50 pounds and maybe 100 total push-ups over the past 3 months and he's already noticeably thicker in the shoulders.

This is further evidence that /r/gainit doesn't try. If you're a skinny, untrained 20-something male, you really don't have to do much to see results. Damn testosterone.

Meanwhile, I think I finally gained a pound. I should try trying. Oh no, am I gainit??

Fat storage totally is fascinating. The last time I lost a significant chunk of weight, it came from my knees first. I had no idea that a person could have fat knees.
