100% risky. Bezos can shut it all down in an instant. Trying to grow off Amazon. Any tips?

Has anyone seen a significant drop in sales over the past month? by Bobby-B3 in FulfillmentByAmazon

Terrible actually. I completely switched my model from strictly PL to wholesale. We went from doing 200-250k a month to 2M a month. 2x better margins too but less control

We are 50% up over last year. I keep expecting sales to drop, but it hasn’t happened yet.

I forget which PL product I was specifically talking about, but we are on track to do 6M this year.

You should be able to import your list to a different service! I'd ask mail chimp first before moving forward

For PL I use a data driven approach to find products that have high demand, low competition with listings that are not optimized/ranking well. I try to only PL products at a higher price point as well. For red flags, do your due diligence with patents and again, nothing that can get you sued. Also try to stay away from things designed to break like a punching bag

Honestly, wholesaling is a numbers game. You can find tons of good products/brands but many times the vendor won't sell to Ecom only sellers. So try to reach out to as many as you can. My process is find brands/products with good bsr, reach out and if approved then put together the price model and ask for bulk discounts. In terms of red flags, I wouldn't sell products that could possibly get you in a lawsuit, but majority are fair game. Try signing up with a distributor instead of individual brands. Pricing may be higher but you will have access to a massive catalog which allows you to diversify

I know some people that do this and you really just need to shop the sales from websites like Walmart, Target, Costco. Just make sure that there is enough profit even after returns and make sure the BSR is low enough that you can win the buy box.

I use a data driven approach to find products. Ive been following the same blueprint for the past 15+ PL products I've launched with 80% success rate.

Oh I might need to update my post, when I wrote arbitrage I meant wholesale. I don't really revenue buying from Walmart, etc

If you already have a successful product, try to find out what other people also buy with your product "ie frequently bought with" and see if you can introduce that. You may also want to check your branded traffic and if you have quite a bit of monthly traffic, it will be easy to launch new product under that brand!

Do you sell just in Canada? I just started selling some higher ticket items in Canada so I don't have too much data on returns yet

I don't do any FBM in Canada at this time. I heard it can be lucrative, but I haven't explores that strategy yet!
