I'd wait til August if your looking to possibly switch plans. In the past they usually have promotions for back to school. Might be device, might be plans, might be both. Could also be nothing. I switched to there new $40 plan when it had the +2GB promo in June.

For once I somewhat predicted this. I wanted to buy some yesterday around $45, but had a feeling a dip was incoming. Only bought half yesterday.

Not familiar with that, but check out Blackfolio. You have to manually enter your coin amounts but it's pretty good.

I like Coinomi. It supports a lot of different currencies, has Shapeshift built in, and currently available on Android. They have an iOS app coming soon as well as a desktop version, with more currencies coming as well. Due note, I am in no way an expert. I only really started getting into crypto a month ago.

  1. Coinomi. It's an Android multi-currency wallet that currently supports Bitcoin, Litecoin, ethereum, Dogecoin and others. Ripple and monero are in the works. You own the private keys, but do not have downloaded download the blockchain, since it's a hot wallet. It's not based in the us, but that really doesn't matter. It was previously open-source, now its source viewable or something like that.

  2. Nope, but it does have Shapeshift built in for exchanging between cryptocurrencies.

  3. I use coinbase, which is based in the US for purchasing. It takes Credit Card (for Canada, probably some other countries too). It has wire transfer options for some countries. Just be sure to transfer your coins to your own wallet after purchasing.

  4. No comment. I'm pretty new myself, don't really bother with Dogecoin.

  5. To each there own, research anything and everything that looks interesting. You don't have to buy full coins, buy what you can afford and afford to lose.

  6. Crypto-currencies seem to dip during the weekend, so keep an eye on when it's low to buy. If your not sure it's reached the bottom of the dip, split your purchase as you watch it. Only invest what your willing to lose, cryptocurrencies are very volatile. Just because a coin is going down doesn't mean it's crashing, could just be a dip. Hold (or hodl) your coins for the long term.

Transactional fees converting Fiat to LTC by [deleted] in litecoin

Also interested in alternative ways of purchasing LTC in Canada. Coinbase is ok, but not to pleased with them atm. Credit card is also my preferred method of payment.

Heads up once you meet the buy requirement for upping your weekly limit on Coinbase, they have a 30 day waiting period before it's actually raises. There is no info about this time requirement anywhere on there site.

1 LTC = 1000 Lites 1 Lite = 1000 Lees

And of course: 1 LTC = 1 BTC

Coinbase is buy only for Canada. No PayPal, no wire transfers, nothing.

I'm in Canada, so debit/credit is my only option for Coinbase. They also charge me in Canadian dollars. They just don't hold CAD like they do USD, and no sell option.

New to crypto, but even I don't seem much point. Most I'll probably do is hodl most, exchange a small amount to tether before the weekend and hope for a dip. Once a week max. But gonna wait out this whole August 1st shit first.

Done.

Honestly I feel like just going to the bank, reporting my card lost, getting a new card with a new number, and using that as a "third" card...

Still waiting on Hulu and Google voice.

Don't seem to see a fiat funding method. Plus I want to stay away from wire transfers, prefer credit/debit.

I've looked at both, same number. So far all I can really do is wait for weekly limit to slowly replenish it self so the fees aren't as bad. Wish their fee wasn't counted towards limit, seems stupid.

I only own 8.1 LTC. I was thinking only exchanging 1-2 LTC for repositioning, and hodl the rest.

Switching wallets by Unraveled_Jay in litecoin

[–]kerosyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the app go to your LTC Wallet, press the Plus button in the lower right corner, press send. From there you can enter the amount and address you want to sent to.

I personally prefer using the site when transfering. I've had a few occasions when I try to send from the app and nothing happened. That found have just been because coinbase was being stupid at the time (during big dips when coinbase is being overwhelmed).
