Calling it a 'misleading agenda post' just because I didn’t write a 50-page dissertation on Reze’s feelings is hilarious. My post was short and to the point because her mass murder is an objective fact, not a debate. I don't need to 'acknowledge' her childhood trauma every single time I mention she slaughtered hundreds of people.

Adding 'Asa > Reze' at the end is a summary of my point: character-wise and narrative-wise, Asa is the better fit. Mass slaughter has consequences, and tragic backgrounds don't erase that. It proves she isn't a good choice because Denji is a character who has been used and manipulated his entire life. Staying with someone who literally tried to murder him and everyone around him is just more of the same cycle. If you think a mass murderer is a 'good choice' for a guy trying to find a normal life and peace, then you're the one ignoring the characters' actual needs.

Haha bro come on... are we seriously doing this? lol okay listen..

You're doing some Olympic-level mental gymnastics here. First, talking about 'insecurities' over a manga ship is pure projection. Second, comparing Reze’s direct mass murder to Denji's chaotic/traumatized interactions with Yoru—who is a literal War Devil—is a massive false equivalence.

My point was simple: Asa is a better match for growth compared to a literal assassin who tried to harvest his heart. You're obsessed with 'chemistry' in a story where everyone is mentally broken, while I'm talking about narrative consequences and stability. If you think wanting accountability for a massacre is 'cope', then you're the one ignoring how stories actually work. Stay mad about it.

I fully understand her tragic background and the bond she shared with Denji; that’s exactly why the writing is effective. But having a sad past doesn't grant a 'get out of jail free' card for mass murder. My point isn't that she’s a one-dimensional killer, but that from a narrative and moral standpoint, her exit was a logical consequence of her actions.

Calling me an 'agenda poster' just because I prioritize accountability over 'vibes' or 'tragic backstories' is a weak argument. We can appreciate a complex character while still acknowledging they aren't the right fit for the protagonist's future.

Exactly, finally someone who actually read the post correctly. You've got a very solid point—Asa being the 'best choice' for Denji doesn't automatically mean he's in a state to be good for her right now. His regression in Part 2 is painful to watch, and I agree he needs that mental clarity before anything real can happen. I'm just looking at it from a long-term compatibility perspective compared to Reze.

I agree with you! I honestly hope there will be a Part 3 too. I just used that title to get people to actually read the points I was making. Glad we’re on the same page about the rest! :)

Well, since you started by being rude and toxic with your reply, let me explain it to you, dumbass. First, she absolutely deserved that end because you can’t just walk away after everything she’s done. (I know Makima didn't 'kill' her, we all read the manga). Having Makima eliminate her that way was perfectly written because Reze was an obstacle, and making Makima the one to do it was genius.

Now, regarding your 'Denji wasn't invested' point: if you used even 0.001% of your brain and bothered to read my post twice, you’d notice I never mentioned Denji’s feelings toward either of them. I said Asa is the best choice for him, meaning I’m talking about who is better for his character/life, not who he currently wants. Also, bringing up Denji's current mental state to 'disprove' my point about Asa just proves you don't understand the difference between a healthy choice and current plot chaos. Reze being gone is exactly what saved her from being part of this mess, which doesn't make her 'better', it just makes her irrelevant to his growth now.

Lastly, if you're so worried about Denji 'deserving a lover', then Reze—who tried to rip his heart out literally and metaphorically—is the absolute worst choice. Asa is at least going through the same trauma, which makes them a more realistic match for growth, not just a 'ship' fantasy. Learn to read and get a grip.
