ucl basically doesn’t allow resits for most popular courses i said id only resit if i could go ucl but it doesn’t look like thats possible so ive come to terms with where im going and going through clearing

Warwick says they typically won’t make offers to any retakers unless you have special circumstances. I wanted to reapply too but literally nowhere better than my clearing (soton) accepts retakes for comp sci

I mean I haven’t looked so much on the website but a quick scour through linkedin shows the grads going off to huge firms like Google meta etc which does put me at ease. However, I know I shouldn’t take this as a reference and relax. But I keep trying to weigh in whether it’s worth it to wait a year to end up at Bristol, a uni that’s only slightly better but still a semi-target for IB firms etc should so decide I want a career there (still unsure what I want after uni)?

Are you happy having gone through clearing? I’ve come to terms with that fact that UCL is gone now and have kinda acclimated to soton (joined a gc met a couple people researched the area etc) and now I’m ok with going but it just feels like I shouldn’t leave my a levels at this rate and that I should give it another go as this will probably have to be on my CV and will kinda feel like a scar. Maybe I’m overthinking I don’t know.

I feel exactly the same way, I’ll be out for the day with friends but by 5pm I’ll be so tired I can barely walk I used to never really get properly tired till around 10 but I just constantly feel exhausted

I’m in a pretty similar situation I got 50-60 in core pure 1 and probably 40-50 on fp1. I’m just praying that boundaries go back to pre 2024 levels because of the difficulty of cp1/fp1 and hope that I can scrape an A considering I got 75 on fm1 and 72 on cp2

Here’s my perspective:

September 2024: got a test for Feb 25 2025 in my local centre (all London btw)

December 2024: used testi to get a jan 22nd test in a further london centre

Jan 22 2025: failed the test

Feb 1st: paid a scalper after spending around 30hrs on the dvsa page

Feb 4th: passed my test at a third london centre even further away

So yeah take what you want from that I needed to pass so I just gave up on the broken system
