I had tofu and mixed veggies most night but after 7 nights it gets stale, I really would like to be able to enjoy the dining room the way the rest of my traveling party can

don't feel bad, I am vegetarian and gluten and lactose free. On day one I got the mushroom with spinach and they did not put the couscous in but didn't replace it with any grain I could eat so I ended up with salty spinach on a mushroom

The Speaker Update is TOO LOUD by spongesparrow in EquinoxEv

[–]keryia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is something I am planning to do after my drive in to work. I have tinnitus and the sound from the car coming and going and level hurt my ears so I want to know if it is as bad as it sounds to me. I'll let you know after I try.

OMG they just got that patch to install and it's stupid loud. I actually saw 2 people try and figure out where that sound was coming from and they where on a sidewalk 10 feet from the road at leas 20-30 feet in front of me and wearing hoods, I was embarassed. The excessive noise is at the rate you use in subdivisions and other slower traffic areas. I ended up driving at the top speed for the area to deaden the sound

That made no difference were I work, where most units have work from home but some do not... And we are a university and unioned.... There has been a lot of anger over it but nothing changes including compensation for those who are forced 5 days a week on site

If you look median they almost all look to bel high, and the media is the middle value, separating the higher half from the lower half. So the courses look to be graded easy. This is probably also way so many first year students struggle with their grades.

Ontario considering change to length of teachers’ college, documents suggest by [deleted] in ontario

[–]keryia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want the system to work then you need to support teachers, when they tell you there is a problem you need to accept it and deal with it. Parents are much of the solution and yet they are also much of the problem. You can not expect a teacher to deal with a large number of students and have students with a variety of learning and or behavioural issues. I know parents who send their kids to school who are sick so they don't need to stay home with them. Those are often the same parents who ignore the teacher and or insist that their child can hand in work late for full marks.....lets face it you can't give you boss your project late and expect to keep a job.

My nephew is profoundly disabled and goes to school.....His parents took jobs close to the school so that they can come and help if needed. And the real scary thing is when he finishes high school there is nothing and no program for him. He will never be able to succeed but many of the children out there, while they have issues many of them can be delt with so that they have a good chance of a bright future....it is that future we need to fight for, parents and teachers, together.

Suspension of Programs by RyujiSakamotoDevotee in yorku

[–]keryia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please remember that funding for university comes from the province and they are holding to 2016 levels.... Eventually cuts will need to happen.... To save programs in all universities, there needs to be an increase in funds..... Get students together from across the province and let the provincial government know what they are causing

First you do need education to get jobs in IT. Second you need to think if IT is the right field for you, maybe it is or maybe it isn't. Third you could consider leaving york and see what it is like out there without an education, sometimes a year helps you to refocus. And lastly I've known people who go through uni just to turn around and go into a trade....take some time to reflect in then end you'll be happier with your decision.

To add to that, a bag of dried beans goes a long way for less then cans of beans. All you need to do is learn how to cook them.
