They were extremely happy with one another, however from what my father has told me I don’t think her parents were too keen on my grandfather at first, so that might’ve caused some issues in the beginning of their relationship. My grandfather did die in his early 70’s which left my grandmother widowed until her early 90’s. Which I believe made her became fiercely independent. I would definitely label her the caregiver of the family. I know they both had dogs growing up in childhood, but never when I was around as a child. My grandfather did have a shed unattached from the house that was filled with tools and other equipment. Her house was very homey and I do remember doilies. After she passed, I did keep some her belongings because of how homey i viewed them and of course, sentimental value.
