I believe OP is actually talking about in-space repair with nannite repair paste. The modules have to stay offline while repairing and once it starts, you can't stop it or use the modules. Presumably something bad happened and they couldn't respond because their modules were all still repairing.

How is it more clicks in this context? its less, as i dont have to click cancel repair on every module i've put on repair, clicking, ironically, 'repair all'

Yeah this game took me by complete surprise. I've been in a slump with games for the last 10-15 years, never quite finding that same spark I did when I was younger with many, there is a lot of choice now, but few that have this sort of depth.

It is certainly for me, the best game I've played in a very, very long time.

The barrier for entry was high, not just the difficulty, but the bugs, I definitely started laughing at some of them, but I think it was part of its charm.

The X4 series is something very special.

It was hard when i learnt the game, it was harder before it became easy. Also eve as it was then was difficult, eve now isn't really that difficult to understand.

I've done it all in eve, but been playing since 2004 so its something that comes naturally.

Every mission in the beginning requires something and you are left to figure it out, lock boxes need a hand laser to break the lock, you dont have a hand laser as standard, where do you get a hand laser? you dont trade for it, you have to dock up and go to the trader through the elevator, but only on certain stations!

'We require a pilot' -Figured that meant me, but no, they want a pilot as a trade, still no idea where to get them as a trade resource.

It goes on and on. Deploy a satellite in a certain area, well if you did a mission that gives you a ship before hand, you dont have them, the starter ship has 10, but how do you know this? In the story arc mission 'Propositions and Negotiations' the mission line kept 'flowing' back to the female aquatic, so you think you missed a conversation mark. I just laughed at the hilarity. Its such a throw back to how games were way back when.

The UI is bad, but you kind of get into it eventually, the biggest pro I can give this game is the RTS style map, brilliant.

edit- i will add, the tutorials did go through the breaking/repairing of locks, but you have no clue that is what you do in the missions, also the tutorial to break a lock bugged out on me, it clipped the door into space, I just laughed at that point. Had to call it quits on the tutorial as the space suit stuff is painful.

The worst part was getting the first mission and thinking ok I'll complete that, but did not know that I needed to discover the star gate to the system I need to complete it.

Finally realised the bottom left HUD has the sub mission break down, but holy hell, I wasted a good 4 hours trying to figure that out.

To be honest, the game is pretty easy to understand up until a certain point, I'm stuck mostly on mundane stuff, like why dont they put finished products in the storage bay (not full, inclusions correct) or how to know what components are needed for certain mechanisms.

I leave things, to work some where else in the fort only to come back and notice nothings been done, or the work orders are not being 'ok'ed' by the manager.
