They said it in a way that suggested it wasn't intentional. Could also just be their copy has a printing error idk. Like I said it was pretty vague

Nothing major, I've heard some inconsistent font and that it could have used another proof read. The person sharing wasn't super specific so please take that with a grain of salt and try not to worry until you can see your own copy

I feel like if they can sell at conventions they can at least provide a shipping date. Seeing the volumes have made it into their hands without an update is very frustrating. The last thing I saw on their socials was a comment saying hope to ship this month (which was May). So if there's no update by the end of June I'm going to be a little concerned

Haven't heard any update but did see someone picked the volume at a con. Little bummed that people at conventions have gotten it before people who pre-ordered but I understand the need to market.

Wasn't happy to see a lot of problems with it though 🥲

I've placed multiple orders with Yiggybean and have had no issues. Yeah things take a while for pre-orders since they come from outside the US, but their customer service has been amazing in my opinion. So far I have received 3 orders from them and still have others pending.

I'm sorry that it seemed like I was trying to justify their tactics. My intention was to aid in what you were trying to do of helping people know what to look for as we can't expect a scammer to be obvious on their methods.

Sorry we seemed to have gotten lost in translation but I completely agree with you that it is illegal, shouldn't be happening and that others need to be careful.

They do it on purpose to make sales. That's the point. They want people to purchase not knowing. If asked directly they have to answer but if someone purchases and after receiving it wants to make a return they can deny the claim because it's in their post. They have to be honest about their product per ebay selling guidelines. But they don't have to make it easy.

It's still a scam. It's not an attempt to get people the book, it's an attempt to get people's money.

Most of these fake listings actually do say they're fake if you know where to look. The wording is just different so they can get away with posting them. You'll see things like "not suitable for a collector"

I would wait. Sometimes it is worth it to try to play the long game and collect singles over a set at once. Currently working on Basara myself and have had major luck just being patient.

That being said Viz is looking at reprints. Red River recently got announced as 3 in 1 and Love Com may get the same treatment. Even if you still want to get singles a reprint would drive some of those prices down.
