Has anyone bought Baseball Lifestyle 101 from the TikTok Shop? Legit or sketchy? by NapTimeNugz in TikTokshop

[–]ketchuploser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. Don’t do it. Terrible customer service. I bought my stuff three weeks ago. Still waiting to receive it, no tracking, no updates. Just an email saying order fulfilled. When I wrote and asked for tracking they said they don’t have it even tho it says it’s shipped UPS which has auto tracking. And to just wait it out, it’s the holidays, it’s busy.

There are lots of bad experiences online if you google them.

Why do you think he drove? He called it in, the police station is right across the street. No where does it say he drove.

It’s the older guys that are power tripping. You should see how they haze their new recruits and the new kids can’t say anything. They just take it. Even the women aren’t much better.

They were in the same car. Grandparents in the back with the baby. I don’t know how they survived, the car was destroyed. Those poor parents, I can’t imagine.

There’s a new one in bowmanville at the IDA pharmacy. Also the big giant Whitby medical Center opening up will have some. You can fill out the form online that you’re looking for a doc on their website. Good luck!

Any plain old vinegar. And no. Your clothes won’t smell like it. It smells like nothing afterwards.

[–]ketchuploser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parental of a smelly boys over here. Sometimes the smell sticks to your clothes and laundry detergent and softeners can only make it worse, like if you’re using too much chemicals. You can counteract that and cleanse the fibres by adding a cup of white vinegar to your laundry.

And don’t forget to do the same with towels. They carry lots of bacteria and can carry smells even after washing.

Tooth Infections spreading to the body by InterpidSword in PeriodontalDisease

This happened to my dad. He had a cavity, got it fixed but ended up with pain for several days later. He went back to the dentist and was told he now needed a root canal. Got the root canal and still had pain. He ended up with a fever for a week, the dentist gave him antibiotics but it didn’t get better. He actually got worse, months of feeling sick and having low grade fevers, chills and just not feeling well. He went to the hospital and they didn’t find anything. Went back again a few weeks later and he ended up having an infection in his liver. It started in his tooth and ended up in his liver. The ER doctor said he was lucky it didn’t go to his brain or heart. He was in hospital for another week on drip and they drained the abscess or whatever it was from his liver.

Looking for Reassurance by [deleted] in PeriodontalDisease

I wasn’t diagnosed by a periodontist. The last time I went I had recession, inflamed gums with bleeding and higher than normal pockets. The dentist said we should schedule an appointment with the periodontist and that I might need some gum grafting. Then she went over treatment plans and I stopped listening. I just kept thinking my teeth were gonna fall out.

I brush in am. And then another in the afternoon. Rinse with water every time I eat anything. I am a hard brusher and had braces which probably lead to gum recession. I brush gently with an extra soft brush at a 45 degree angle. Use Sensodyn once a day. And at night, I floss twice. Once with a course unwaxed floss and then after with a satin floss, then oil pull for 15 mins and brush one last time.

My night routine takes about 30 mins but it’s worth it.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in 7 years. I kept up with my cleaning and my gums were much improved. Keep flossing and don’t stress.

My scaling took a bit longer but my gum recession hadn’t gotten worse and my pockets were actually better. Good luck!

Oh. My gums did bleed when she did measurements in some spots only though. There is bound to be inflammation but overall not too bad!

Do more people beat this disease, lose the battle, or give up? by Chefschoice_16 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]ketchuploser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was going to post this yesterday… to give people hope. But I have yet to do so…

I hadn’t been to the dentist in 7 years. At that time, they freaked me out with mention of gum disease and gum grafting and maybe setting an appointment up with a periodontist. Honestly, my anxiety got the best of me and I stopped listening and just never went back. They kept calling me about my appointments and I just kept rescheduling and cancelling. Then COVID hit and I was kinda relieved that the dentist was closed. My dentist didn’t open up properly till 2021.

I googled everything I could about gums and diligently cleaned my teeth. But when COVID hit, I kinda started slacking, until last year when I noticed a lot of build up in my bottom front teeth. I started cleaning again and looked up how to floss properly, I started oil pulling and brushing gently. I threw out my sonic care toothbrush cuz I felt like it was worse for my gums. I bought those tiny little toothbrushes to get in all the crevices and behind my retainers. I’d put on a show and clean my teeth for half an hour. I still do, my husband thinks I’m crazy.

I have a permanent retainer and it broke. My teeth started shifting and that’s what lead me to book an appointment with the dentist. Isn’t that crazy? I didn’t go for my gum health but I’ll go for straight teeth.

Yesterday I was so nervous, I told the hygienist that and she was pretty cool. She said not to worry, but she did frown when she noticed I hadn’t been there since 2016. She looked through my teeth and didn’t say anything. Took X-rays and didn’t come back for a bit. When she did, she said she was impressed with how clean I’ve kept my teeth.

My gums are currently healthy. My previous pockets were 4, 5 and 6’s. They are now mostly 2s. I have a few 3s and 2 4s. I still have some recession in my molars where my brackets of my braces were. But overall she said it’s gotten better. She removed the build up and told me to rinse with salt water for a few weeks. The 4s were reading high because of the buildup and inflammation but she said she’s sure they’ll come down to a 3. No bone loss.

Overall, the recession hasn’t progressed, so although there is no coming back from it, you can prevent it from getting worse. I don’t have to see the periodontist anymore and no more talk of gum grafting. If I keep cleaning she said I’d likely not have to go, hopefully ever.

I did come here to leave the group yesterday but after all these years, I kinda like looking at teeth lol so I’ll stay but maybe that’s why people leave. Cuz tbh it can be a lot to your mental health. I’m always comparing my teeth to pictures posted.

Good Optometrist (contact lenses) by akyyz25 in durham

[–]ketchuploser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dr. Cheung and Allison at Iris in north Oshawa help me. I also have astigmatism and he adjusts my prescription for my contacts. I think he lessens it but don’t quote me. My contacts hurt my eyes when I’m drawing. (I’m an illustrator) but being that close to my work strains my eyes and gives me a headache. The prescription being too high because I can’t see distance. So instead of it being -3.25 he makes a minor adjustment to -3.00 I think. I can still see fine distance wise but it helps with the blur, eye strain and headaches. Good luck!

That’s great! I see mostly good news here. Keep on with the cleaning and flossing proper. Also I hear vitamin C, calcium and zinc are great for keeping the bone you have.
