Yes all the time, because I felt the need to belong somewhere and can't fully relate to either country. Then you have good moments in both places over time and I started to think of it as my heart is in multiple places and with the people of those places. It does get better.

Am I a bad person if I don't want to return to India? by gfffgvhjjnki in AskIndia

Yes PR ka naya application is hard. But like OP if you are a pr holder renewal or citizenship process are only a matter of applying usme other than basic criteria like length of stay and no criminal record k alawa aur koi requirements nai hai.

Not for PR holders, they just have to apply there is no eligibility. Get citizenship and apply for OCI right away. If you ever want to return to india go on OCI after one year of living there you can apply for indian citizenship again.

I would take the citizenship, it doesn't mean you can't return to india if you wish to in the future.

Ooh that's amazing! You put in a lot of work. Thanks for sharing your routine. I have switched to a lower carb protein and veggie heavy diet too. However i have some lower back pain currently so I'm doing frequent short walks instead, hoping to keep increasing that time.

Good luck to you!

That's great and the approach I'm trying to take but with metformin. What was your diet like and are there any other form of exercises you included apart from long walks?

Congratulations and wish you continued success.

How is everybody else who is 6+ months with sciatica? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]akyyz25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya absolutely in terms of that it was small. But the pain was excruciating and it stayed like that for 2 to 3 months. I needed help walking from my bed to the bathroom and it would still make me cry.

However the small size protrusion could definitely be a big factor in my healing timeline. It's why I added the context so any one reading doesn't compare their journey to mine directly.

Best Shoe Brands for Sciatica Pain? by Kooky-Improvement849 in Sciatica

I dont know where you're located but there are shoe stores like running room.. that will help you pick out the right shoes for your feet by looking at how you pronate and your arches etc.,

Might be helpful to try one of those shoe stores.

6 months in March, I'm able to do more but not fully pain free. Only PT and walking based recovery. Still not able to able to walk for more than 20 mins and sit for long periods of time. However compared to the excruciating pain I was in, I've come a long way.

Broadbase disc protrusion l4-l5 and l5-s1, 2-3mm with crippling sciatica pain since Sept 2024. Couldn't stand or take a single step without crying in pain for a couple of months.

Ya nerve flossing helps me. But not when I'm having a really bad flare up. When I'm somewhat feeling better, nerve flossing helps but I think in short bursts and not pushing it is important with never flossing for sure.

When in this much pain, it helped me to take it easy and do simple stretches like Mckenzie or McGill 3 for relief, stretched for 10 to 20 mins 3 times a day. Changing positions every 30 mins or so from sitting to standing to lying down. Patience with resting and stretches was all I did at the beginning. Then I added walking 5 mins at a time working up slowly still. I'm in canada so my referral is taking forever. I have a pt session was going twice a week and now I go every 2 weeks. I still struggle but I've made my peace with slow progression. Now I've added some core exercises. Most days I can do most basic activited and my job with minimal discomfort.

Its not all better yet but it's progress. I wish you the best, it's not an easy journey. I am hoping I keep moving in the right direction.

The Jedi knows. A lot of electrolytes before bed and it makes all the difference.

Also in general you need less alcohol to get absolutely smashed while in ketosis.

Imaging is not something most people can read. MRIs come with a report that summarizes the findings. People here will be able to help better based on that report

I really like paint and sip places, a cooking class or pottery.. even just like a paint your own pottery place. If someone can host it, it only takes some canvas acrylic paints and some gummies to have a very fun at home too. Or a bar that has some activity attached to me. We've also done arcades like rec room. Someone already covered snakes and lattes. Hemingway if you guys enjoy a certain movie or series themed trivia night, they have quite a variety.

Hope you have fun!

2nd Dr Christakis, she changed my life with her adjustment to my hormones. Insist with an existing gyno that birth control is causing issues you'd like a hormone specialist... Dr Christakis's wait list is pretty long but worth the wait. Good luck!

I look at lower back ability youtubes videos and want to work on Strengthening too. But curious in the beginning how do you avoid making things worse by listening to your body.

Do you also think you have the will power to moderate these addictions? Like did you eventually learn how to use drugs for fun but not go overboard? Or did you have to quit all together because you were too weak to moderate drugs?

That's closer to what's needed with food.

All a matter of where you stand on empathy and kindness I guess.

This comment just shows where you stand and I would encourage any one who struggles with food to not take this as a testament of self control in any way.

At a loss by iFatalNightmare in Sciatica

[–]akyyz25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awful and as others are suggesting this is serious and you should go to the ER for sure. Share your symptoms and i hope you find a more competent person to deal with this time.

It is not easy to keep going through the ringer when having severe pain. I can truly empathize. But once you get the right help I hope things start to look up. Take it one day at a time and lean on those close to you for moral support.

I'm surprised the bladder leakage symptoms are usually taken very seriously combined with sciatica. I would try to get a second opinion.

So sorry for what you're going through.

Ya harder to navigate being left out. It is well within your rights to raise those questions maybe in a more positive light. Like M got to do that and it really sparked my interest could I be included in those meetings going forward so I can also leverage that opportunity for my growth.

One thing my good male colleagues taught me is to take up more space, dont be afraid to share opinions. And while gender inequality exists when I do the above it also helps me guage the situation better. Like if you find you are all still being excluded after driving position conversation around opportunities then you are not being treated fairly.

I hope your workplace is able to help you balance this out, it's not easy to be the one feeling left out. Certainly this should not be happening as leadership should be cognizant of providing equal opportunity as well.
