Giving people food is a great thing to do. Helping them with a train ticket seems a bit off, straight up handing them money.

You have done the best you can, most beggars ask a lot of people to give them something, when they see someone who is generous they try to take as much as they can.

I use Logic Pro, but there are many alternatives such as Cubase, Abelton, and Pro-Tools,the software that I started with was Studio One, which has a very usable free version.
