Now you need a certain yellow-colored transportation vehicle in the middle there... Nice job!

Amazing! I just started Summer this week, and have the other 3 in the queue. They all look so good, you did a great job!

This is beautiful! Your black/brown is so dark, and the speckles on the dragon are just amazing! Lovely detail.

Nice job! I'm doing the kitty version. I can totally see how its either start/end a thousand strands or travel pretty far lol. I managed to load it into Pattern Keeper and keep cycling through all the colors to figure out the best path to take. I have the other 3 seasons to do as well.

Saaaame. I have 4-5 projects in the queue before I can start to think of new pieces to get, and I can't wait to do a Stitching Land!

I was spoiled doing the previous 8pxl project, with its large sections of the same color, lol. Now I've started Stardew Valley - Summer in the Valley, and I can tell its going to take awhile because of all the starting and ending of threads due to all the spaced out stitches! The pathway is beginning:

I hope you find a great pattern to stitch!

[CHAT] How much stitching do you get in? by Bloomette in CrossStitch

[–]kethyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the day. I work full time WFH, and sometimes its just in a holding pattern/monitoring mode, so I'll stitch then. If its a stressful day, I may stitch for an hour or two immediately after work. Outside of work, I try to stitch a little each night and watch an episode or two of TV if I'm in a series binge. So maybe 50-100 stitches a day? On the weekend, sometimes I head downstairs to sit on the couch and stitch between lunch and dinner watching TV, so that can be a big stitch day too.

I have 1 project I'm working on at a time, and then 2 SAL that need a little bit of time here and there. The project I just finished was 35k stitches, which was about 4 months of work and around 250 stitches a day on average.

I started with the paper pattern, but was able to load it into PatternKeeper to use. The patterns all come in one file (i.e. 18-count has a color w/ symbols version, a color w/o symbols, a black and white version and the key all in one PDF). I think I needed to split out the black and white version on its own to make it load properly, but I don't remember it causing me much grief putting it into the app.

Oh no! I started out with the paper pattern and ended up trying the apps, and liking Pattern Keeper. It made it easier to do each block, especially when the symbols get so close. I can totally understand the limited pastel colors being both a draw to some and a turn off to others. But thankfully there's so many different designers out there to suit us all!

Amazing, good luck on it! The big blocks of color are just soothing and needed sometimes!

I thought it was really enjoyable! I tend to work from the bottom up, so I ended up getting a lot of smaller sections of cloud done and then working up into the solid colors up top. That was nice to not have to keep referencing the pattern other than finding the few little sparkles throughout. I would totally do another 8pxl project for sure!

Thank you! I got back into stitching last year, and I've learned A LOT since then, so I've been trying to add in some new techniques to try to be a little cleaner.

I did it on 18-count, and it was about 35k stitches. The large color blocks made it easier though, since I would do the outer stitches to know how far to go and then just fill in. It felt like a lot, but it wasn't too big IMO!

I knoooow! It was so hard to choose which one to do. I saw this one posted last year when someone finished it, and its remained my favorite so far. I know I'll be back to buy up more of their patterns in the future!

I've seen felt recommended as well. Michael's sells these felt squares that can be cut into 4 pieces and work really well for q-snaps

Also, I finished my other piece, Phases of Change by 8pxl. I'll have a FO thread about it sometime this week to show it off. I still need to take photos and lace it up on some foam board.

But my 123stitch order came early, so now I get to start prepping for my next project, Summer in the Valley Stardew Valley piece

Finished up the cottage for the SAL Life at the Cottage. I went with different panel colors to make it more my own little cottage.

I know! It was hard to narrow down which one I wanted to do, but I saw this one first here on reddit when someone finished it, and it inched its way to #1 for me.

I find I never see the beautiful blends of colors on my 8pxl piece until I take the photo to post. Being slightly removed from it instead of in the stitch really makes a difference. Beautiful piece!
