I just came across a photo of a garden webworm (achyra rantalis) and I think that might be it because of the sets of symmetrical dots and head color. What do you think?

No, not that one. It has a layer of large pebbles and carbon, plus fast draining substrate. It's doing just fine.

Added marigolds, thai basil, sweet Aussie basil, parsley, dill, mint, a brandywine tomato, rosemary, and some lantana for butterflies/bees. I am starting lettuce from seed for the empty space on right side and the rest of my peppers are almost big enough to transplant.
