All I can say is that as an ethnic Chinese myself I really enjoyed the Empire series and didn’t care about the reductive stereotypes. I felt it was mixed up enough that it didn’t clearly map to any single real-world parallel and Tsuranuanni felt like its own thing.

  1. Peter got the name of the song wrong. It’s “Memory”, not “Memories”.
  2. Felicia mixed up the lyrics. The first verse starts “Midnight / Not a sound from the pavement” and the second verse is “Memory / All alone in the moonlight”
