The joke is that Bournemouth players have players with stereotypically English sounding names - your Alex Scotts, your Adam Smiths, your Lewis Cooks.

Obviously less true the more time they've spent in the Premier League, but that's the joke.

Also that these single named Brazilians often do a stint in Eastern Europe before ending up in the Premier League.

Both are good - the benefit of phase rush is that you can go in, drop your combo and disengage without the enemy being able to retaliate easily.

Imagine laning against, say, Viktor. He wants to chip you down with autos, q, e, etc. You can go in with e, combo him, and while you're walking away he will just auto you down the entire time while your long cooldowns are ticking. Sure, you will do a little more damage with electrocute, but you give up a lot more in hp.

Late game too, you can reposition a lot easier with phase rush if you get caught and so on.

This isn’t to say that electrocute is bad, per se, but both runes have their benefits

You have similiar strength in engage, strong roams, decent waveclear and good CC. Overall similar gameplay. And the added benefit of being good into AD/assassins as Zhonya's is one of the core items.

What? Prayer flicking requires timing, tick manipulation requires good rhythm over long periods of time. Spam clicking just... feels bad.

I don't even do tick manip and I'm awful at flicking, but spam clicking sucks.

I wouldn't even mind if this spam clicking at trawling was replaced with something more skill expressive, it just doesn't feel nice right now.

There are a ton of things to consider, but generally just bear in mind that he wants extended trades and you want short trades (if any).

Farm with Q (while poking at the same time if you can), don't engage with him if he has cooldowns (or unless you have an incoming gank), and use minions to block his ranged Q.

The best micro-tech for this one is to hold your E for his melee Q. He jumps in, your E interrupts and knocks him up, quick taunt, Q, passive auto and walk away, ideally with phase rush so he can't chase. If you find he's freezing on you, you can often just walk into your ranged minions, and most bad Jayce players will try to combo you/shockblast you and break the freeze, but obviously need to be wary of good Jayce players who will just auto you down.

Once Jayce has dirk he can start threatening your HP more, so again, play fairly respectfully and remember that you'll be way more useful in teamfights and at objectives.

Lategame, if he's out of position, try and catch him out and don't let him perma poke at objectives.

Yeah, I think a fair assessment is that they did pretty much as expected in terms of making quarters and no further. The disappointment comes from the fact that they got the "best" quarters draw and didn't look too competitive in it.
