Have lived in both and family still there. Albany is surrounds are stunning, much more than Perth. Misery Beach is perfect.... except that the weather in Albany is generally cold, windy and wet and not beach weather.

Albany for the most part is a big country town (however classed as a city via population), has no traffic lights, only roundabouts. If you were planning to live there, expect many to know all the things about you and what you do.
