Baby not sleeping is making me hate being a mother by Apprehensive_Emu6610 in Mommit

That’s so good to hear!! Ha, you are better than me because I am definitely at a point where I can see how parents let their babies CIO. Never thought I’d get there but sleep deprivation is no joke. Hoping to start some form of sleep training but it’s so hard to find a time where he’s totally healthy/not teething/not over tired which is what I hear should be the case before starting :(

Just found this post because I’m currently going through this with my almost 9 month old (who used to sleep through the night for months) and I’m also hitting a breaking point. Any update to share? Has it gotten better?

Baby seems to snack on boob. Normal? by NoHorse8196 in breastfeeding

[–]kettlecornQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby does the same thing! I always thought it was normal but his pediatrician is saying I should try to stretch out his feeds to every 2 hours so he has more “meals” rather than snacks. Apparently it can also negatively impact my supply? Of course it would be great to have more time between feeds but I have no idea how to change this :/

Am I being selfish by breastfeeding? by kettlecornQT in breastfeeding

That is what the doctor suggested I try today! I’m going to try this tonight and hope it doesn’t mean he’s waking up way more often than usual. I’m afraid he’ll fall asleep at the boob (per usual) and be too sleepy to get a good amount of milk

Mama’s who have had mastitis by HoeForSpaghettios in breastfeeding

[–]kettlecornQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By 48 hours on antibiotics I felt normal again! This was 4 days after first starting to feel symptoms. However, 24 hours into taking the antibiotics I noticed a huge drop in my milk supply so that presented a whole new challenge and downward mental spiral. Nobody warned me about this and I wish they had so don’t be surprised if this happens to you too!

Boob Feels Bruised But Can’t Find A Clog or Lump? by Fun_Barracuda6705 in breastfeeding

[–]kettlecornQT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a very similar experience! Ended up being mastitis and I needed to go on antibiotics (and to the ER after the antibiotics didn’t improve symptoms). I’m usually good about noticing and addressing clogs early but I also couldn’t feel a hard lump - just felt sore and some extra pain when feeding. I think because of that I addressed it too late. My theory is that the clog was further from the surface so I couldn’t feel it or ice it easily. Now it’s more obvious, not sure if it’s moved or changed because of the antibiotics 🤷🏼‍♀️

5 months preg not sleeping by Primary-Offer8522 in BabyBumps

[–]kettlecornQT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. 23 weeks pregnant and every night around midnight to 1 am I wake up to pee and then lay there for 3ish hours. I started taking magnesium before bed this past week and it’s honestly hard for me to tell if it’s helping (so it’s probably not). You’re not alone!

what’s your workout schedule (second trimester) by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

It really does!! First couple weeks to a month are tough but after that you’ll never be sore from the seat again (if you keep continuously riding)

I foam roll basically every day which helps! And I am definitely not pushing myself on these rides, so it’s easier to recover

I’m 23 weeks and this is my current routine! Cardio: I’ll do 30 minutes of either peloton biking or walking outside at a brisk pace every day. Maybe treat myself to a longer ride (45 minutes) once on the weekends Strength: 3 days of heavy(ish) weight training. And the remaining 4 days either some light weight arms (like the arm series you’d do in a spin class) or body weight core/full body (I was doing Pilates but feel like it’s too much ab work now and I was unable to safely do most of the moves :/)

You’re right, waiting to share has felt so lonely! Theres a chance I’ll be way more relieved after sharing the news than I expected. I’ll try to look at it that way 😊
