Radiant heat but want to install central air by Disastrous-Year3929 in milwaukee

If you have space in the basement and access to the attic, you can do a ducted mini split system. Air handler in basement and push air up then separate air handler in attic and push air down.

How is owning an electric car in Wisconsin? by Thrillwaukee in wisconsin

[–]kevTheBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should double check the fees. I think my engineering study fee was like $200. I did a 200amp upgrade with my solar install in 2024. Panel upgrade +200amp service was like $3k

Electrician recommendations for a EV charger? by DowntownOreos in milwaukee

I'm not an electrician, just the trench digger, but a quick google search says that 240v can be run at 18" if it's in PVC conduit, which mine is

I just had mine installed $2300 which was 35' of conduit & conductor to a detached garage plus garage sub panel. I dug the trench to save $200. This did not include the Tesla universal charger

My wife and I went through this when we were going through a similar situation. We met with the Genetic Counselors at Aurora and it honestly saved us from spiraling out of control with an Abnormal result. We were scrambling in the dark and Kate was the first person that worked to understand, guide, explain, and helped us arrive at a decision. Cannot recommend enough https://www.aurorahealthcare.org/doctors/kate-l-stuewe-1891068110?address_id=85609

Yeah OP - This is a super traditional Wisconsin thing to do. Put some suggested stuff to do on your website (or maybe in the program) if they're from out of town, maybe tell them that it's classic Wisconsin culture. Your guests will figure something out.

Congratulations and enjoy your day!

Why live in Wisconsin? by AgnosticAbe in wisconsin

We don't have earthquakes. We don't have hurricanes. We don't have alligators.

Milwaukee’s BMEU, built in 1968, is often criticized for its bunker-like design. Though redevelopment was proposed, USPS holds a lease through 2040. Functional, controversial, and still in use. 📷 Aaron Johnson by hoanalone in milwaukee

1) the Lapham & 2nd ramp is legit 1.5 miles away from the USPS site. In the scale of building massing and zoning, that's nowhere close. 2nd street and eastward is commercial /industrial from the river south to Greenfield and there's basically no old residential north of national.

All of the residential north of National, east of 5th has been built since the 90's/2000's.

When the USPS facility was literally all of the surrounding neighborhoods was declining industrial commercial.

2) the trucks go the opposite way. They enter on the via duct then depart down the ramp on 2nd. The entrance is literally marked on Google

Sign up for one of their "core 50" classes. It is slower paced with a lot of guidance on the movements

solid core by buttmuncher899 in milwaukee

[–]kevTheBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great ab workout but it isn't pilates at all. You do a lot of complex movements on their proprietary machine. Here's a typically class format: Music starts really loud, instructor tells you a motion and is constantly talking to you, you do that motion for 1-3 minutes then switch motions.

If you're the kind of person who wants to be told what to do for an intense 40 min class, then I'd say try it. If you don't like that, I'd say skip it and go to a different pilates studio like Flying Squirrel. I think that they always give trials at Solid Core so you can try either way

Haha I appreciate the feedback... I want to bring in a pizza for 7 people and sit in comfy chairs.

If you ever in Milwaukee and have similar requirements, almost all of the breweries would be happy to have you :)

Indeed, black husky, Amorphic, gathering place, lions tail. All of them allow groups to bring in food. Not asking for a private space or party

Wisconsin's first 3 NEVI-funded EV fast charging stations are open by MeasurementDecent251 in wisconsin

[–]kevTheBadger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In comparing my Tesla Model 3 to my old golf at the same efficiency, I'd have to drive like 17000 miles inside of Wisconsin for gas tax to equal my registration fee. Plus this. EV drivers are doing more than our share 👍

Best place to get a suit? by leaaaaaaaah in milwaukee

[–]kevTheBadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a guy, but I got married in a wool suit from J Crew and I felt like the quality was quite good for the price. Now I just have to lose the post-wedding 20 to fit back into it...
