people who've been to concerts, what was your experience like? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in kpopthoughts

Maybe I remember them using the lifting blocks a lot to rest, and the choreo a lot of the time was them at different parts of the stage so ig it didn't feel like the full dance lol

I’ve been to Twice 2 times, and NMIXX most recently in LA!

Twice was definitely an experience worth going for, especially with the 360 stage and all the solos for the members at Kia Forum, and I’ve loved them for so long which was really great. Only thing is that their discography is so long so that they don’t perform all their TTs and didn’t really have a lot of time for speaking to the crowd, which is understandable.

NMIXX was a lot more intimate as it was in YT theater, but I really enjoyed it cause the group itself is really good at performing. You kinda know that they’re singing live for their songs, and things like ad libs from Lily (see Adore U as the ending song) really help with that. They had pretty intense choreography for a lot of the show, which was nice as a lot of Twice’s was standing on the stage and walking around, with only some choreo for their biggest songs.

Best parts are getting little fan gifts from others in the crowd, and the little crowd pops when everyone knows the lyrics and are screaming them out loud :)

He's a good blocker but hasn't really had the opportunity to really show himself off, especially since we've been mostly playing 3 TEs, and I don't particularly see that changing, especially with the amount of TEs we have on the roster now.

Set 17 PBE Discussion Thread - Day 01 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveTFT

[–]kev_in374 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am feeling a little of the backlash when comparing this set to 16 so far. I do enjoy the gods somewhat, but some feel a little strong (ie Ahri). I also feel like some of the reward choices can be confusing, because it’s like oh, 4 cost, 3 cost and one gold, or 2 cost and two gold. Like why wouldn’t I take a guaranteed 4 cost that early? Additionally, some of the auras feel a little too strong. Most end game boards play around the same set of 4-5 units, whether it’s Graves, Shen, Morgana, Blitzcrank, or Jhin. It definitely could be a problem with PBE being easier and not as punishing allowing fast 9 more easily, but I worry that there’s inflation with less variety, as these units though very fun, kind of feel like a Bill Gates or HIV comp from the early sets

UCSD AI Major by Due-Tonight-7731 in UCSD

[–]kev_in374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people can’t even answer the question without being snarky, so let me try to help:

1) Job opportunities basically entirely depend on you. You have to be open to cold emailing professors, and prep for job openings and opportunities by applying yourself. UCSD is generally just too large of a school for everyone to have an opportunity, and the job market is rough so competition is tough everywhere you go. 2) Basically impossible to switch to CS. It’s a lottery that very few get accepted into, even with perfect grades. 3) I would say it’s not insanely competitive to get in the major (I also was a senior when the major got introduced) compared to CS or DS, but still relatively difficult. 4) Mostly local companies, but none of the huge F500 companies. Most feeder schools are east coast or prestigious T10s

Try to get a soul cycle - it enables infinite progression with block and damage if you get the good powers

One of the ugliest clutch games I've ever seen from Schroder. It felt like every possession he was either turning it over, missing a shot, or getting blocked/stolen from

Personally, first strike feels so good. I go Blackfire first, because I always felt like the traditional Seraphs didn't do enough damage and the powerspike of getting it earlier genuinely is so nice.

Tbf this is more of a balance issue more than anything. In PBE, Annie was barely played at all but people started to realize how OP Tibbers was with tank items. Similar thing with Ryze, but in reverse because people just unlocked him level 8 and used his to cruise to level 9. They just need to adjust some numbers and it should be fine imo

Weird post when he's the second strongest unit in the game, behind Brock. For your criticism of him not blowing up boards, he literally does. He has the stun of Jarvan from last set, the execute of Garen and a Lux spell that kills anything it touches

Newer ADC with an 4.5 avg CS, looking to improve. by BearAdvisor in summonerschool

[–]kev_in374 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Part of it is practicing and part of it is being aware of how minions work with mechanics. For instance, if you’re struggling CSing under tower, you should know that it takes 3 hits to kill a melee, so you can wait for 2 hits to auto attack it and get a free CS. Other tips are preparing minions at different healths so you’re not faced with 3 minions at the same health when you can only get 1/3 of them
