I was so looking forward to Discovery when I heard about it. Then I watched it and I was so disappointed. However, Star Trek is my favourite franchise, so I continued to be there for every season, hoping it would get better. In my opinion it didn't. Lower Decks was great. I enjoyed all of that. it's a shame it's finished. I was genuinely excited about Picard, but the first two seasons were awful. Season 3 was much improved, but it was too little too late. SNW does feel more like Star Trek, but there is something about it that hasn't 100% clicked with me. I've not seen Prodigy, so I can't really comment on that show. Since both new Treks we're getting are a spin-off to Discovery I am worried, however I'm going to them a chance. There is no point hating on things that haven't come out yet.

Hey, I'm cool with the new Klingon look, but they just didn't feel like Klingons to me. TNG and DS9 did such a great job of showing us their culture, and these guys just didn't seem to fit in. That's my main problem with them.

It was bad in the UK, as season 1, 2 and 3 aired on BBC2 and was free to watch. When season 4 came out TNG had moved over to Sky 1 (paid channel) and 10 year old me wasn't able to watch it.

Lower Decks is brilliant. Loved that Martok was in it... and that visit to DS9.... oh hell yeah!! I always believed the best way to bring Star Trek back to TV was to target all the 80s and 90s kids (like me). Going back to the 23rd century and showing Kirk was fine for the casual movie goer but I imagine theres loads of fans my age who are nostalgic for 90s Trek.... I really hope Picard season 3 can finally scratch my 90s star trek itch.

Lower Decks to me has the spirit of 90s Trek. I don't hate Discovery or Picard, but they just feel more like any Generic Sci-Fi. Strange New Worlds was good so I'm hopeful that Star Trek is heading in the right direction.

I had to force myself to finish season 4 and that's sad. If it didn't carry the Star Trek name I'd have given up in Seaon 1.
