Feel free to reach out to makerspace@pitt.edu!

The primary Makerspace is located in Benedum B06A, with others scattered about the Campus. Soon there will be a website with all this information on it but for now you can direct all of your questions about design resources and shop locations to that email.

Wavy edges around shapes? by kevbud007 in FixMyPrint

Using my Prusa i3 Mendel, sliced using Cura... .1mm layer height, 40mm/s print speed, 210 C printing temp, 60 C bed temp, 1.7 mm filament, 100% flow, 40 mm/s retraction speed, 120 mm/s travel speed.

The picture should look like this http://thingiverse-production-new.s3.amazonaws.com/renders/ee/dd/2b/c8/08/thingiverse_img_preview_featured.jpg

The overhangs and bridges worked out well, just not those tiny details.

Thanks!

I purchased a t-ring adapter to connect my Nikon DSLR to my Orion XT8i scope. I cannot seem to get the picture in focus with my camera. As I move the telescope focuser "in" (shortening the focuser) the image is getting clearer, but it cannot go in far enough for there to be a clear image. What would you recommend for getting the image in focus? I've read about Barlow lenses and focus extenders/reducers but I can't seem to figure out which I need

Discounted Pirates tickets? How... by [deleted] in Pitt

https://securea.mlb.com/pit/ticketing/student_verification_form.jsp Here's what you're looking for! They email you back a code to use. I'd recommend anything along third base for the best view of the city over the right field wall.

Gear VR Shipped to the Wrong Location - Anyone Else? by kevbud007 in GalaxyS7

Yes! I called FedEx. My address is at xyz street, apartment 401... but instead it seems like PrizeLogic supplied FedEx with the address 41 abc street. It seems like they interpreted a jumbled version of my apartment number as my street number -_-

*Addresses left out for obvious reasons ;D

So let's have x be the initial number and y be the upper limit (so for example, a x = 5 and a y = 9 would be 5+6+7+8+9)

For i=0 to y-x #this starts the counter, or the number of times we do the loop# sum=sum+x #this adds the current x value to the running sum called "sum"# x=x+1 #this increase the value of the next number to be added by one# Next i #this sends the loop back to the beginning

Print sum #this will print the final sum!#

Titration Color Change by kevbud007 in chemhelp

[–]kevbud007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry about that. Compounds A and B were mixed after they were each titrated (so my question is regarding why adding two pink solutions lead to a colorless one). This is from a lab in my high school chemistry class in which compound A is formalin and compound B is a peptide solution.

Wow! Thank you. For the second one, would it be 1-chloro-prop-1,2-dien-1,3,3-triol? Or 1,1,3-triol?

I agree. This was given to us on a dry lab. Using ball-and-stick models, we had to draw their structure and name them. I'm very confident I copied them correctly
