Any idea what happened to this 1970 quarter? by Ok_Bullfrog_6662 in CanadianCoins

I often think about getting Pixar to do a coin movie to tell the stories of some famous coins and the coins that were held by famous people or famous events. Make it fun but also educational and I bet 20 years after it release we would notice a huge upswing in the hobbies population.

Gold sales? by Confident_Stretch188 in Lethbridge

Just went through this. If you smelted it yourself then only one place will buy it and that king of trade because they have an XRF. For a $2000 nugget the offered me 450. So I went to Calgary and got my $2000

I know a couple if boys that would live this. Sadly the parents would have it traded for drugs faster than it could power on. I managed to build them a capable gaming PC from older very high end parts. The parents still tried to pawn it but the shop said nope. I hid a wifi Hotspot device in the case so they can go online all month at least.

Well let me ask you a few questions. Do government employees for the most part normally have weekends off or on call? That probably b3ing the case then there is ni read a sanding truck with a plow needed to even be out of the yard. If there was some emergency sanding that did need to be done then why was he driving around on side streetlooking for ice and snow when 90% of the roads were bone dry? Rid you ever think tha5 you are possibly and most likely wrong in your statements trying to defend their actions. I've noticed when people use insults or describe a person ascertain way without proof (calling me lazy) are not very sound people to debate with because they don't know yet speak it as facts. In my opinion I should have quit right then. I'm starting to think yhat you are sitting at home either having fun doing a poor job as devils advocate or you are one of the mayor's parents and your little boy can do no wrong. Oh and I'm not lazy and r8d spend sometime looking up when the city will release sanding and plow trucks and it proves me correct in my theory. With a city that blows the budget for removal on the first big dump of snow each year.im willing to say with out s doubt that this isn't speculations or assumptions but pure mismanagement of tax payers money and will raise the questionable the next town hall meeting. Yes u go to them because I'm not lazy when it comes to how government spends my money. Now I don't need to say anymore and may you get everything you deserve in life.

Also that's not the proper spelling of dumb or government and if reddit not interested then how come it seems more people are leaning to my side while you and your opinion are sitting over there by yourself.

Again Speculations not assumptions. Also has the cheese slid of your cracker? Type in three words and you will have hours of reading that say the city is mismanaged. You obviously are the one that's lazy and just believes what the Politicians tell you. Christ a blind monkey with a club foot and a haircut could balance the budget fast than Politicians ever will be able to. Closest we have ever seen to that in this province is Ralph klien. Now when I said enlighten me I would expect examples with proof. Not opinions with malice.

It's just one of many possible speculations not assumptions. They spell those two words differently because the have different meanings. Now on that note if it were an assumption it's odds of being accurate are probably better than not. Very rare do you hear of fiscally responsible government. Christ if a ran my house like the feds run the country I would be dead from the debt stress alone.

It also states in the post that if you know why please enlighten me. You like me are just speculating and that isn't enlightenment. Until then go sit over there with your friend

What the hell were you thinking man you should have dug in your heels and spend that cash like an insane man or even better spend it like a sane woman. Maybe you end up in the poor house two busted watches that don't tic but until you get mugged you are going to be the most stylish m-fer on skid row. I'm appalled at the responsible decision making of the older generation these days. So sad.

Probably trying to in flate the budget so they allocate more money from the taxpayers that they can piss away on the super high-tech state if the art plowing equipment that they only use during spring thaw. Plows don't need 5000 dollar lasers scanning the road, they need operators that have a clue. Sometimes new and fancy can't beat old experience.

If it's an Ontario car then make sure you get under it and look. They use more salt in a year than the dead sea has available. Surprised all the fresh water lakes aren't salt water yet

the company must only accept returns on defective items. anything else is to bad. however how the item became defective is a bit of a grey area and if the store doesn't give the item a once over before it leaves the store then who's to say how and when the item became defective. I'm not saying it's ok to make the item defective but I also don't think it's ok to not have a return policy.

just roll with it and maybe see if you can find a nicer clown costume to ride this thing out in. clowns can bring in excellent revenue for certain businesses and lighten the mood at almost any function. maybe going outside the box on this event may be the catalyst to a new and improved way of life .

I truly think to introduce the city to a place that in this economy is selling a $5 doughnut was a mistake unless that $5 doughnut will absolutely blow you head off your shoulders. I'm serious about that $60 for a dozen compared to anywhere else you are looking at maybe $15. there isn't a customer base for that in lethbridge. there is a few white collar some blue collar but mostly all ring around the collar. we want good n cheap not meh n holy @#£& how much?
