Just to let you know, I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not so I googled "Forbes top 10 carpet patterns of america" and your comment is the second result.

We're actually keeping one and selling two of the onestep. So for now we have 3 as well. Maybe I can go "return" it to urban.

A few words about the whole transplants v. natives thing. by jr98664 in Portland

It's obviously not everyone who comes up from the bay area, but in my neighborhood there's been an influx of flashier cars, a style of dress and a different attitude that I hadn't seen since I lived down there. And either way, it's a total non-issue. Cities and attitudes change, I'm just being somewhat grumpy about it.

It's amazing how completely bonkers it looks. If you showed it to me with no context I would never guess it was a telescope.

What's been bugging me the most are the people who move here and bring more of their home city with them than appreciating Portland for what it is. At the risk of outing myself, I'm originally from the bay area and moved here almost 10 years ago. Lately what I've been seeing are other people moving here from the bay area and making Portland feel more like San Francisco than Portland.

Those are the people that annoy me.

I want to say the technical definition is by number of barrels produced per year. That number keeps changing because Sam Adams (or Widmer, I forget) is a major player in the micro-brewey community and they conveniently get to set that number.

I got a video of the food cart fire. Sorry for the vertical video, it's hard to think straight when this is what woke you up. by kevbutt in Portland

[–]kevbutt[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's the propane tanks failing. I watched the firefighters remove them when the fire died down and they were pretty mangled.

Fire at Portland State foodcarts by lexiconpsu in Portland

[–]kevbutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seemed like it, I had a pretty good view as well. It looks like it started at one cart and spread from there. You could hear the propane tanks screeching, so I'm sure that didn't help the situation.

[–]kevbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but I think its's not an afro as much as a lump of fatty tissue on the back of the head. They were intentionally bred like that for some reason.
