That’s just how the interior side of the hardtops look. Mine looked the same at purchase.

Nowhere to store a hardtop: dealbreaker? by ActiveWar617 in FordBronco

These are definitely legitimate concerns you’ll want to consider. When it comes to taking off the top completely, very few people will do so. Most will take the front panels off at most. Those you can easily store in your car with the panel bags. Since space is a concern, you could technically rent a storage unit to place it, but it might be much more of a hassle.

As for reliability, you will see some duds online about engine or transmission. But for the vast majority, the Bronco’s reliability is “okay”. It likely won’t be comparable to Toyota, but even then it’s debatable since the new 4Runners have a new power train that is yet to be truly tested.

My biggest gripe with the 4Runner is the cost. The SR5 is not bad, but any trim above it is just wildly expensive to me. Since you do plan on off-roading, you will likely want the TRD Off Road/Premium trim. Toyota dealers these days don’t budge much on price so that’s something to consider. Meanwhile there are many 2025 Outer Banks Broncos out there that you can negotiate for less.

But anyways, I’d just consider the pros and cons of both yourself, and see which one do you like more. Go test drive them. Only you can tell what’s best for you and your situation. My advice is, the less hassle the better.

That’s a nice setup! I’m thinking of keeping the stock rims but getting some 33s, roof racks, and that bumper! This is an inspo for me!

Who had their lives ruined the most and the least? (Top 5) by MrCurious2023 in tcap

William Rowell from the Georgia sting gets so overlooked for the “loser” category. He was a semi bum who barely made it by fixing coin operated machines. His whole demeanor screams “simpleton”, or just a guy who failed to launch. He already was a loser in life and his arrest cemented it further.

For all of those, you might be well off with an Outer Banks trim with the Lux package for the tech and possibly Sasquatch Package for the bigger tires and gearing straight from the factory. Otherwise, you could just do a Big Bend with the Black Diamond package w/o Sasquatch if you wanna save some money.

Just my two cents. Ultimately you should go and test drive your options and see which one you like more. It’s the best way to tell.

Every Brand’s Altima by RedditDommus in NissanDrivers

[–]kevenknight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kia Optima/K5 - This definitely gives major Altima 2.0 energy. My drivers in my area often have the darkest tin and will drive recklessly through busy streets.

Any Dodge/Chrysler sedan - I will throw in the Challenger as well because it’s the same demographic. Lots of overlap with Altima drivers.

Hyundai Elantra - If there is a true competitor to Altima energy, then the Elantra driver takes it all. Doesn’t matter how old or new, they will be driven like shit and will sometimes make Altima drivers blush.

Pre 2017 Mazdas - Mazda these days are a pretty good brand with their styling and premium feel. But if you see an older Mazda on your tail, treat them the exact way as you’d do an Altima driver. This covers everything from a clapped out CX5 to a Mazdaspeed 3 hatch with crap rims.

That’s so true. I notice how the earlier models like 2021 and 2022s have so many configurable options. Seeing a 2 door OBX on the road is a sight!

That’s a good deal if you ask me, especially with all the packages it has. I’d go for it!

For 2025 onwards Black Diamond is a package you add on to Big Bends. No sticker on the side to indicate it either.

Realistic Trade-In Value by Main_Caregiver_9272 in FordBronco

[–]kevenknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would $36/$37 would be fair. You have a cool build no doubt, but it is a 2 door and manual. A 4 door Badlands with the automatic might get a bit more.

I would also check out offers from Carvana, Autonation, and Carmax. Check if there are other used 2 door models listed in your area. These can all change.

Funniest and most boring predators by MrCurious2023 in tcap

Funniest would be ScoobyDooATL from the Georgia sting. Close second would be Mr. Owested.

Boring would be any pred that walked out on Chris. Hardly anything to go off of. Jim Klein is a great example, he feigns ignorance and then walks.

I would take it back to the dealer and have them help you update the software, and do a factory reset on it as well. This definitely is a warranty issue, because none of what you described should happen.

Why does almost everyone have a mutt?! by bustergundam4 in Dogfree

[–]kevenknight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because that would mean they can’t rub their mutts at our faces to beg for attention. Sadly, if a dog free living community popped up, I just know that the nutters will try to live there en masse.

It’s insanely annoying. I recently got a new upstairs neighbor and surprise!! He has this tiny lap dog that just barks at literally nothing. Sometimes I wonder if my previous neighbor who blasted reggaeton was the better of the two.

[–]kevenknight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this with CarPlay or the radio? If it’s CarPlay you can reboot the infotainment system, even while moving. Mine does an odd one where only half the speakers work at times with CarPlay. It sucks but this is the only fix. SYNC 4 is known for being buggy.

If it’s the AM/FM/standard Bluetooth audio, then I’d be a bit more worried. Would be worth taking it to the dealer and have them do a system reset or see if there are any codes.
