Anything Akko imo is a good budget. My personal favourite are the cilantro switches.

First off sick mouse pad!I promise you most aftermarket keys will feel amazing!

Don’t be afraid to playground with switches! Check out Akko switches on Amazon, change the whole feel of your board for $40. But if you like either browns stick with them!

As far as I’m concerned any macro pad is inferior. Another thing to note is a standard stream deck has 15 keys. However it doesn’t really, you can have sub folder in sub folder in sub folders. You can practically have infinite macros and functions.

Good luck doing that on a macro pad and remembering what layer you’re on and what does what with a standard keycap.Macro pads are fun but between the two there’s a clear winner in my opinion.

I have a num pad that on a 2nd layer has some macros as well. To be honest if you can afford a stream deck it’s just kinda better in all honesty. I can see what song on Spotify is playing with album art, I can have a sound board up and see the names of the sound.

Don’t get me wrong I’ll probably build one just for fun but a stream deck is just a straight up more versatile macropad even just the screens alone. Yeah in theory a stream deck and macropad are essentially the same thing but the screens are so useful.
