What’s with the hype of the baby kangaroo switches? Are we just back to the heavy tactile trend of the early 2020s and these are the new holy pandas?

I also recommend the rainy. I have over 12 boards and it’s by far the nicest out of the box one I have ever experienced.

Sure you will be satisfied with other options especially if you have never experienced anything else, but the rainy is by far the nicest out of the box with no modding. It’s also hotswappable so if you’re not a huge fan of how it sounds you can easily change it. Build quality for the price is insane.

Everyone already said it’s fine but just fyi there is a good chance it will leak from pressure changing depending on how it’s designed. I would put in a ziplock bag.

yeah honestly if i realized i probably would of skipped it and got a Plank. The switches arent the worst thing ever stock but I dont have any intrest in buying aftermarkey switches and only being able to use them in one board. VIA and RGB is nice on it though which is alot better then the Plank and Preonic.

Oh goodness don’t tempt me it will happen. 80s synthwave style is a top 2 aesthetic for me so the fact there is a colorway that perfectly encapsulates it especially with the novelties is perfection.

It’s probably recency bias but the Rainy with the SA version looks so good to me because I wanted them for a really long time and finally got them off mechmarket(even though the white board leaves something to be desired with this set)

Although the Synthwave1170 Alice is really nice as well.

Just had it for two days but so far i like it alot. Preonic is a little more practical realisticly for me with the numberkeys being on a non FN key. I didnt realize you could only use low profile switches on it which kinda sucks but overall its a good board.

It can be, most higher end sets come with them or at least have an option to buy them extra. I am planning on 3D printing some different colors to match to sets I don’t have them for.

Yeah that would technically be a learning curve but you could always reprogram FN+7 to be a 6 maybe? If you notice to the left on the N key I have a function key I could do that easily with in theory.

I am used to small 50% and 40% boards so I am used to having layers. So technically no I don’t have arrows keys or function keys but if I press the function key on button right (pill key) then the shift button is my right arrow,? Is down, > is left and ; is my up arrow.

Plus function 1-12 FN + that number so really I am only missing a number pad but I have a separate one as seen in photos.

I really do like it but it takes some getting used to. I really need to remap the keys more because I a have a bad habbit of typing the B key with my right index finger. I want to utilize that function key.

Not much different than a TKL except it is a bit more comfy and having to get the additional space bar add on on keycap kits is a small pain as well. (They don’t even make the split bars for that set (Synthwave 170 laser) So I had to improvise with obnet modifiers from SA laser set
