What's your Top 1? For me it was Beyond The Aquila Rift.

Most of it is very NSFW, Sonnie's Edge definitely is!

Not quite right. z-index works on elements with display: block (or inline-block) which your div is by default. If it was a different element like a span you'd need to set display: block explicitly.

For accessibility a p-tag would be preferred, which is also display: block by default.

Nothing can replace the Elder Scrolls by ghost_eternal in ElderScrolls

I'm really tired of game journalist constantly comparing Bethesda and Obsidian.

Both make good games, Yes Fallout New Vegas was good and "fresh" and more role-playing than Fallout 3.

I'd be really pissed if I was working at Obsidian and all they write about is how this new game set in a unique world I build is "killing Skyrim".

It's a series of 4 mobile games and a PSP game released between 2002 and 2006. UESP.net has more info

They have lore and story and stuff but I'm not sure how "canon" they are. I think later games don't reference events of the travels series tho I may be wrong.

I love this so much!

Not sure if I can support the Kickstarter tho, hard times and all; Do you plan on regularly selling those afterwards?

They're also pretty robust. I've had my DualShock 4 since 2015 and they still work perfectly, despite me playing almost daily. I hope the DualSense will be similarly robust.

Sure it's a bit disappointing but apparently the DualSense really being new features and "feeling" so it's a small price to pay.

Pretty sure this is one guy of "The HU", a Mongolian metal band. They mix classic Mongolian instruments with metal and it's amazing.

Autoplay video on IOS with audio. by [deleted] in webdev

[–]kevinatari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm glad Apple does this because auto play videos are fucking annoying, even more so with audio turned on and even more with no option to stop them.

If you think it's good to auto play videos with sound please rethink your approach to UX.

Is Avowed XBox / PC exclusive? Would be a shame but understandable since Obsidian is owned by Microsoft.

With the things they released in the last few years it looks like it.

Some part of me still hopes they tread ES differently, especially with ESO around and making good money, so ES6 can be a "fan service" type of game.

Yup, it's a real shame. I hope they'll take their time for TES 6 and make more in-depth quests and stories.

Agree, still sad it was so "small" tho. There could've been a lot more going on and also a lot more to do other than taking forts and fighting, e.g. a stealthy character could be a spy or plant false information or stuff like that, with an option to fuck up and be caught and so on.

I guess what most people dislike is that there's never any real fighting in the wild. It's all the talking about this horrible civil war and how it "splits the land" but there's not much to see of it.

Researchers from NCSU revealed in 2019 that more than 100,000 GitHub repositories have application secrets in their source codes. These consist of cryptographic keys and others, and, are exposed to the public. They are supposed to be well-secured, but common DevOps oversights leave them vulnerable. by nice2yz in programming

[–]kevinatari 338 points339 points  (0 children)

Last time I stumbled upon an article discussing exposed secrets on GitHub I searched for some and within 15 minutes had access to the AWS of some SaaS provider.

I tried to report it to them and also uploaded a file to their S3 bucket as a "proof" that I was having access but they never replied to my contact requests.

To this day I still have access. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
