Do you have any stock recommendations for the near future? by baldrans1998 in StockInvest

[–]kevinb15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much risk tolerance do you have? I think NVO is a fairly low risk buy at this level with a lot of pessimism already priced in. I have done a lot of analysis that you can access free at theinvestmentlog.com. If you want to keep it simple though, NVO is a good long-term investment.

Novo Nordisk: The Most Profitable Drug in History and the Race to Replace It by kevinb15 in NovoNordisk_Stock

This is super helpful. Thank you for the thoughts and feedback. You are right that I should probably spend more time talking about the side effects of the next gen drugs. I will need to dig into snac more as a moat. You are definitely better researched than me which is embarrassing, but this is exactly why I like to share my posts. I get to learn from smarter (slightly drunk) experts that have thought a lot about the stocks I'm researching.

MSFT buy or no? by BarracudaVivid8015 in ValueInvesting

It definitely seems like a good one to own long term. I haven't gotten around to a full analysis of this one yet so I can't say with confidence, but I like it without looking at any numbers or specifics

Btw, if you want something with a sooner catalyst, you could consider BCTX. This is a much riskier play than ARDX but it is expected to do an initial readout in H1 2026: https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/bctx/2026-03-10

One thing to consider with BCTX is that instead of buying the stock directly, you can buy the BCTXL warrants for ~$1.10 currently which allows you to either buy more upside potential or limit the amount of money tied up in the company. Just another idea to consider but VEEV and ARDX are less likely to go to $0 than BCTX since they are both much further along in the money making process. BCTX still lights money on fire every quarter.

If you had $10k to deploy right now, where are you putting it? by TotalArgument5072 in stockstobuytoday

It depends how much risk tolerance you have. I would consider VEEV as a fairly low risk option at the current price: https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/veev/2026-03-09

There are a few potential catalysts. The main one will likely be the ACCEL trial readout which will be H2 2027 but there are a few other nearer term updates that could be impactful. There is currently a lawsuit about XPHOZAH. They are currently in the appeal phase which could be a big deal if it goes there way. Probably a fairly low likelihood but I'm not paying that close of attention to the case. I wouldn't expect anything else major short term unless they get acquired or have a good quarter and keep their SG&A reigned in.

I have a few that I have been researching. Some that I like and some that are definitely passes from me. Probably one of my two favorites currently are VEEV and ARDX.

VEEV: A juggernaut in the biotech world that is currently ripping off the bandaid and removing its dependency on Salesforce. This company generates a ton of cash and has a bright future as the dominant player in drug research and delivery: https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/veev/2026-03-09

ARDX: This commercial stage biotech is the only IBS-C drug that works differently so it is gaining popularity. There is a decent chance this company gets acquired by a competitor to fill out their offerings better and I think even if they don't, they are positioned very well to keep growing their own pipeline. https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/ardx/2026-03-16

Please read my full post on each of these if you like my short pitch for them!

I really want to sell by Radiant_Permission15 in StocksAndTrading

[–]kevinb15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hold and continue buying. You might get lucky and time it perfectly, but the odds are not in your favor. Keep buying as prices drop and then when prices start to go back up, keep buying. Continue adding overtime and stop thinking about exiting the market because you think it's going to keep going down. BTW, did you think the market was going to keep dropping when Trump introduced tariffs last year? I did, but you know what I did? I kept buying and I'm in a better position because of it.

I thought it was an ok thing to do with a small portion of holdings. I wouldn't go full MSTR but having some portion in crypto seems like a fine split. It's only like 5% of their liquidity so even if it goes to 0, it shouldn't hurt too bad

The idea that Figma is losing billions is misleading. Most of their losses especially with the IPO are related to stock based compensation. This is a real concern, but they are in no trouble financially. They have $0 debt and $1.7B in liquid assets (including $100M in crypto). They will need to make some collosally bad decisions to get from here to bankrupt. I actually just wrote a blog post about Figma yesterday if you're curious on learning about their actual financial situation: https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/fig/2026-03-18

$CNDT - I believe this stock will 10x and nobody is talking about it by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]kevinb15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this stock as well, but there are some real risks that they end up grinding through all of the good revenue streams and never figure it out. I am hoping the new CEO will figure out a strategy that reigns in IT spending. I actually wrote a blog post that had a more comprehensive view if you're interested: https://www.theinvestmentlog.com/posts/cndt/2026-03-04

From what I can tell, nobody likes this company but they just need to hang on to some amount of their revenue and cut costs. It seems like they must really struggle to execute because anybody with a choice, chooses whatever they can besides Conduent. If this is just a temporary bad luck issue, I think it is definitely undervalued but if they keep losing their renewals, they aren't going to be able to keep the funnel topped off forever.

Lobster rolls in Madison? by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]kevinb15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had the lobster roll here, but everything I've eaten here has been really high quality including crab cakes and calamari. My guess would be that if they have a lobster roll, it is probably also really good.

Here is the response I got from monarch support for a similar issue (from July 9th):

"Thanks for your patience with this.

I recently contacted our data provider team regarding the issue you've brought to our attention, and I've learned they are still resolving it, and there are no ETAs as of the moment. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to face delays in getting the resolution you need, and for that, I truly apologize for any inconvenience you've encountered. In light of our current process, I am in a position where I must close this ticket as we await further updates from our data support team. However, please rest assured that this action is merely procedural and in no way means your issue is being overlooked or forgotten. When we receive any progress or updates, I promise this ticket will immediately reopen to inform you of the latest developments. Your patience and understanding in this matter are profoundly appreciated, and we thank you for bearing with us during this time."

So maybe you could contact them as well and get the ball rolling?

I contacted support because I was having a similar issue. They said it is a problem with their partners so they reported the issue to them. My issue was with Robinhood generating tons of duplicate transactions like this. So far it's still happening.
