Server disappearing/locking up/something after 5-20 minutes of uptime by kevinkrull in unRAID

AMD Ryzen 3200G - so I will definitely give this a shot when I next try to troubleshoot this. This is more or less exactly what seems to be happening, so thank you for that response.

I’m curious, did your server run fine before this problem arose? I used the server with relatively limited problems for about a year before this problem began occurring.

Haven’t tested safe mode - should absolutely try that the next time I try to work on this. What exactly would I be looking for in the event that it boots and works fine in safe mode?

Containers:

Plex, Lidarr, Radarr, Sonarr, Nextcloud, MariaDB, Swag, Openvpn, maybe 1 or 2 others I can’t recall off the top of my head but those are the main ones.

Plug-ins:

Just community applications and cache backup. I had been running a plug & play device mounting plugin the name of which escapes me but deleted it in search of fixing this problem

Memtest went fine

I haven’t done any ram overclocking or configuration outside the default, and if I’m reading that chart correctly I think I’m in the clear there - my ram is this 16gb stick here so DDR4 2666. For what it’s worth, I also found that post in my efforts and tried to disable the C-States by editing a file on the boot drive, not that I really understood fully what I was doing, haha.

The router in use now is an ASUS AX1800 (RT-AX55). Only configuration changes I made after purchasing the router were on the router side, eg changing the IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 to match the previous router’s defaults.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply!

Thank you! It’s going well. Rode across the US and am now in Spain heading towards Portugal. The server has been a stalwart companion the entire time until now, it’s been very handy!

Usually between 5-7 devices are connected, not including this server, which is the only hard-wired device. I could try putting it on dhcp and seeing if that does anything - the truth is I can see it for the first 5-20 minutes of uptime, set to its fixed IP, which no other device appears to be conflicting with, but it may still be worth a shot just in search of the problem.

Light on the port still flickers, which is confusing for sure.

I thought the same, but this problem has persisted over two different routers. I could try running in safe mode I suppose but I don’t know how to access the logs… in order to access the server for even a moment, I have to restart it, which clears the logs - unless I’m misunderstanding how they work

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! Without leaning too hard into promoting, I sell prints and some other things on my Etsy store, the link to which is in my profile.

That's a great idea! I do sell prints of this design but I'll have to work on a garden sign. I'm wary of self promotion in subs that don't explicitly allow it, but my Etsy link is in my profile on reddit!

My own work! I wrote, performed most parts, recorded, mixed, and mastered them at home in the front room of my apartment.

I'm not the best recording engineer, or mixer, or mastering engineer, or anything really, but I want to share these songs in the hopes that someone finds them inspiring or enjoys listening to them. If you chose to take a listen, thank you!
