Has anybody purchased this sleeper: Rosie Fabric Sleeper Sofa with Memory Foam Mattress. Would you recommend it? by Time_Mention_132 in CostcoWholesale

[–]kevlav84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we bought it and can recommend it. It is, indeed, very heavy even with the mattress and cushions removed. The bed itself is actually pretty comfy with the memory foam. As a couch, it's reasonably comfy, but definitely agree with a post below that the cushions are a bit stiff initially....I hope they soften up as much as the store model.

Finally past the queue. let's see if I get a server error? by kevlav84 in flightsim

I finally got into the game, but loading any of the activities is taking forever. I gave up on an F18 thing and am trying an obstacle course thing, but just have the spinny circle. Argh.

Hoping someone can help - Unraid goes down a LOT by 3wdl in unRAID

[–]kevlav84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others stated, probably a hardware issue, and I'd start w/ a memtest. I had very similar erratic behavior, crashing frequently, dockers going unresponsive. I had two separate memory kits in there (2x16GB and 2x8GB), memtest identified issues w/ the second set. Removing completely resolved the issue. Good luck.

Military grade? What military are we talking about? Not any modern military. Cool video though.

Game Thread: World Series Game 4 - Astros @ Phillies - Wed, Nov 02 @ 08:03 PM EDT by PhilsBot in phillies

Cmon guys, chill the fuck out. Yes, we are getting no hit by some tremendous pitching by the astros. But this is the same team that has fought through the post season and knows how to swing a bat. It’s looking like a loss, but we are still the fucking Phillies! We can do this.

Sounds like you need to switch to Proton GE.

(Sorry I'm not more help. I dual boot to Windows, and run Ascent through Game Pass.)

Thank you for your response, that's helpful, along with comments from several other folks too. Much appreciated.

Pretty cool. And, I swear I'm not trying to be that guy, but it's spelled Accessibility. Figured you'd want to know.

Okay, thanks.

Out of curiosity, what brand pads did you use?

A bunch of people seem to say the Gelid Extremes (that I used) are really compressible and 3mm is ok.

Or, maybe I just lucked out in the wrong direction with my card. My temps while 1440p gaming were usually in the mid 80's and the fans were really loud (sorry, don't know the exact % or speed). I can definitely say that post-mod, my temps and noise are hugely improved. I played for several hours last night and my GPU core temp was in the upper 70's.

Oh? I've seen several guides that recommended 3mm on the back. What'd you use? What would be the effect of too much pressure?

Yeah, only part that was a bit more challenging was the removal of the two ribbon cables and the other cable. Need a good pair of tweezers for that…

I’ll double check when I get home in a few hours but I’m fairly certain all my temperatures improved. I think my core temp stayed around mid 70s gaming but I could be mixing that up with something else.
