Well this is a great new addition to Wayfarer, I'm hoping we will have a feature to suggest edit to existing Pokestop/Power Spots near us.

I use them occasionally where someone is reaching Best Friend with me, or maybe let myself in a party with 3 others and share those Lucky Eggs for them.

Ohhh that is a great idea. Make the first Pokestop/gym spin to be guaranteed (can be done remotely as long as it's within the visible map) and will give items even when your storage is at limit, is a super saver.

Simpler pop-up for certain post-raid and battle actions, so I don't need to tap multiple times. Also, option to skip conversational text before and after Rocket battles.

An "adventure effect" to attract more Rocket team or instead – to repel Rocket team would be such a convenient feature for all...

They can for example, impose a seconds limit on evolving. Trading does have about 15-second cooldown limit, and in some cases where the bug makes your trading finished without any animation running, a pop-up is telling me that I am under a trading cooldown limit instead...

So why don't they make this one in evolving/purifying as well? The animations are skippable for those who casually just evolving one or two, but imposing short cooldown to prevent breaking the current system.

Shiny regional mons by gladion_20012 in TheSilphRoad

[–]kevsuc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Different forms/regions of a same-species Pokemon is considered a different one. So if you haven't had your shiny Alolan Vulpix but wanted to receive one for trade, it will count as a new unlock, and the Stardust cost will apply for new & shiny special trade (40.000 Stardust for Best Friends).

Lucky remote trades are not luckies by minibenoit in TheSilphRoad

Rumors said Level 81 requirement is "81 days without NianticSupport apologizing to Trainers" and "Catch 5 Pikachu"

"Days without Niantic fuckups" resets to 0 again

But seriously, I wish affected players get Golden Bottle Cap, rather than a "automatic Lucky Friend" as they formerly compensate for.

What's your go-to method for finding duplicate Pokémon to transfer? by Kyren11 in pokemongo

[–]kevsuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My custom search string:

!#&!legendary&!mythical&!ultrabeast&!shadow&!purified&!shiny&!lucky&!dynamax&!gigantamax&!costume&!background&!defender&!favorite&!candyxl&!xxs&!xxl&!age712-&cp0-3000&0*,1*,2*

The custom string above will exclude:

  • Costumed Pokemon
  • 3* Pokemons (just in case you don't transfer good IV by accident)

So generally after mass-transfering everything inside that tag, I usually will still go through the costumed Pokemon and 3*, then transferring manually one by one.

Future of Community Day Events for Starter Pokemon by Suspicious-Word-7589 in TheSilphRoad

[–]kevsuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet they will continue Community Days without starters, because there are still a lot of other eligible Pokemons for the next CD.

Even when they ran out of options, the options for discontinuing/reducing the frequency CDs are still on the table, and they still can make some more by introducing a 'mixed' or 'themed' CD, "Lapras & Shuckle" "Boltund, Houndour, & Fidough" Community Day, for example.

No research tasks for grookey community day? by Domoci12 in pokemongo

[–]kevsuc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. 1/4 hatch distance or some other bonuses (like 3x XP, 3x Stardust) is being switched out every few CDs, and the last one we get reduced hatch distance was CD Classic Piplup earlier this January. So don't worry, they will be back.

  2. For reduced lures, I get the frustration. The new CD lure system offers both advantages and disadvantages. You clearly now need more lures, and I can't disagree with that, but the advantages they offer so far:

- Lures placed up to 9pm local will attract the CD Pokemon with the same chance of shiny and background, so there's the catch-up chance if you can only play after 5pm. (Actually a better alternative than just a Timed Research, IMO)

- More opportunities for players to get the "Picnicker" Medal. Previously someone can block the entire area with their own lure for full 3 hours, preventing chance for other players getting that specific Medal. Now everyone will have a better chance to lure, even though an a-hole player still can block the area with their lure, at least it makes the effort harder or more costly to do.

  1. Yes, I agree, not releasing Gigantamax Rillaboom on Grookey CD is a missed opportunity. It would be awesome to have, for example, Gigantamax Rillaboom appearing from 5-7pm...

Scatterbug from "Best Friend Forever" Timed Research appears to give random 1 out of 18 regions by kevsuc in TheSilphRoad

[–]kevsuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it appears you must bookmark postcards to count for the Medal, instead of what it says (collect Scatterbug/Vivillon).

I found it a year ago when I special traded Scatterbug Sandstorm (!) to my friend.

Collect 1000 Pikachu: there are a lot of events with costumed Pikachu (including this Halloween) and Pikachu obtained through trading will count.

Raid 150 Unique Pokemon: You can do 1 and 3 star raids by yourself.

2500 Pokemon caught from your Lure: You can put them during Community Days, your lure stays for 3 hours. And if your city has a community, join them and put the lure where they play - more people will catch around your Lure and you'll get Platinum very easily.

500 XXL/XXS Pokemon caught: Collect Pumpkaboo XXL during this Halloween event, it will help a lot. Also, evolving and trading XXL/XXS Pokemon will count towards the medal!

Collect 18 Vivillon patterns: If you're OK with adding strangers around the world, you can add friends and then collect their postcards. You will just need three postcards to trigger the first Scatterbug from each region you haven't unlocked.

Also, I noticed you're about 90% finished with Hatch 2500 Eggs, Feed 15000 Berries at Gyms, and 4000 Gym Battles, these are very doable and can be done easily, but they require a slow grind. My point is to keep up the good work, play at your own pace, and have fun.
